Integrate one or all of these ideas and you’ll look like an organizing and decorating pro.
1. Turn bar soap into decor
Instead of storing packaged bar soap in your closet or cabinet, why not put them on display? Find a glass pantry container at a thrift store and layer your bar soap inside. This is also a perfect idea for those of you that collect smaller bars of soap from hotels or boutiques.
2. Save space with a ladder shelf
Just because you have a small bathroom, doesn’t mean you have to give up on shelving space. Often times, people forget that they can utilize vertical space. The area around our toilets usually sits unused, why not make use of that space and invest in a ladder-style shelf? Or, you could build your own!
3. Never lose bobby pins or tweezers again
Constantly losing bobby pins is a frustration for many. You buy a pack of 100 and somehow, in a couple months, you seem to only have 20 or 30. Same goes for smaller metal beauty instruments like tweezers or nail files. Nip this problem in the bud by hanging a small magnetic strip (found in hardware stores) on the wall or shelf in your bathroom.
4. Use a cake platter to organize nail polish
Nail polish can become a jumbled mess of dozens of bottles after a while. Don’t keep them in a box or have them take up room in your medicine cabinet, buy a cute cake stand from a second-hand store and put the bottles on display instead. Plus, you could even organize them by color.
5. Convert a planter into a floating shelf above your sink
Use a planter box, or create your own wooden box with compartments, to hang above your bathroom sink. Since it’s a floating shelf, it doesn’t take up any counter or floor space whatsoever. Look how much you can fit in there!
6. Hanging flower pots make excellent storage
Find tiny flower pots with handles and hang them with some ribbon, twine, or string. These are great for holding brushes, hair tools, or other bathroom products that you need at an arm’s reach.
7. Ceramic planter sconces work great too
Who knew planters were so versatile? Maybe you should consider shopping in the garden section for your next home project.
8. Hang your shower products from the shower rod
Find clips at the hardware store and attach them to shower rings on the shower rod. Now, you have easy access to your shower products while leaving plenty of space for the tub. Just make sure you buy clips strong enough to hold the bottle.
9. Toss out the tissue box and use Mason jars instead
The tissue box in your bathroom might have a cutesy floral pattern on it, but let’s get real – it’s still a tissue box. Paint some Mason jars and place the tissue inside; use colorful or patterned paper to serve as the lid, just a cut a hole for the tissue to come through!
10. Use a magazine rack for curling iron storage
Please SHARE this with your friends and family.
A simple magazine rack makes a great storage spot for curling irons and hair straighteners. The best part is that you don’t have to wait for the tools to completely cool before placing them inside. Genius!
