DIY Toilet Cleaner
For this DIY toilet cleaner, mix 1 cup of baking soda and 1/4 cup of citric acid powder. Add 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar to the baking soda and citric acid and mix well. Mix in your favorite essential oil and place in a mold. Allow to dry and store in a glass or plastic container.
Use WD-40 to Clean the Toilet Bowl
WD-40 makes a great toilet bowl cleaner. Simply spray the WD-40 around the edges of the toilet bowl and use a toilet brush to scrub the bowl surface. Make sure to also get under the rim of the bowl and clean the top part of the toilet flange, where the water exits the toilet bowl.
Clean the Grout in Your Bathroom
To clean the grout in your bathroom, use vinegar and baking soda. First, put the vinegar in a spray bottle. Next, sprinkle baking soda along the grout in your bathroom, making sure it gets inside the line of grout. Spray the vinegar on the baking soda, and use a brush to scrub the grout. Wipe up with a clean cloth.
Clean the Mirror
Get a streak-free finish when cleaning your mirror by using a solution made up of 1 cup of ammonia, 1 cup of water, 1 ounce of isopropyl alcohol, and two to three drops of Dawn dish soap. Mix well and place into a spray bottle, adding a few drops of essential oil if you want. Spray and wipe up with a clean cloth.
Clean the Shower Head
To easily clean your shower head of gunk and mineral deposits, fill a sandwich baggie with distilled white vinegar, making sure to use enough to submerge the shower head. Wrap the baggie around the shower head, and tie in place using a twist tie. Allow to sit overnight before removing.
Mop the Walls
Use a clean mop and wipe down your bathroom walls with the cleaners you normally use to clean your bathroom. Just spray the wall with a multipurpose cleaner in a spray bottle, and then wipe down the wall using the mop, working from left to right, starting from the top and working your way down.
Remove Hard Water Stains
To remove hard water stains from your bathroom fixtures, use vinegar. Wet paper towels in the vinegar, and squeeze out to remove any excess vinegar. Then, simply wrap your faucets and handles in the paper towels and allow to sit and dry with a clean cloth.
Get Rid of Urine Smells
Get rid of urine smells in your bathroom by mixing of two freshly squeezed lemon and roughly 1/4 cup of baking soda, creating a thick paste. Apply the paste around the edges of your toilet where it meets the floor and on the toilet surface. Spray with vinegar from a spray bottle, and wipe up with a clean cloth.
Clean Your Tub Without Scrubbing
Clean your tub without scrubbing by heating 1 cup of vinegar in the microwave for one minute. Add 1 cup of dish soap to the warm vinegar and stir well. Place the mixture into a spray bottle and spray on the surface of your tub, including the chrome surfaces. Wipe up with a clean sponge, and allow to dry.
