1. ‘De-fuzz’ your screen windows
Our screen doors on windows and doors can become covered in dust, cobwebs, and other yucky things. Thankfully, all you need is a lint roller to have a clean mesh screen again. Using a new sticky sheet, swipe the roller over the screen on both sides. Having trouble reaching? Tape the lint roller to a pole or broomstick.
2. Soak stove burners overnight
Popular DIY blogger, One Good Thing by Jillee, absolutely swears by this cleaning hack and says it’s one of the best tips she’s found on Pinterest – EVER. It must be amazing, right? It is! Remove your grimy, dirty stove burners and other parts, place them in a ziplock bag, seal them with ammonia and let soak overnight. All you need to do is wipe and rinse in the morning! 3. Keep air vents dust-free
Once your air vents become dusty, all of that dust and dirt blows into your home and into your lungs. Keep them dirt and dust-free with this awesome hack from Home Sweet Homebodies. Using a rag, a butter knife, and a bit of all-purpose cleaner, you’ll have clean vents in no time! Just spritz some cleaner on the rag and use the butter knife to guide it through the slots of the grate.
4. Disinfect your toilet bowl brush
Many of us might not think about cleaning our toilet bowl brush, but think about how much bacteria is on it after giving our toilets a scrub – eww! Keep them clean and disinfected by pouring a little bit of Pine Sol or other cleaner into the toilet brush holder. Plus, it will help keep your bathroom smelling fresh.
5. Magically clean baseboards
If you haven’t used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser yet, you’re missing out. This fun product truly lives up to its name and is quite magical. Dampen a Magic Eraser (generic brands work just fine) and use it to scrub off dirt, dust, and grime that has gathered on your baseboards. Works great for removing smudges and scuffs from walls too.
