Life usually has young, idealistic people wanting to eventually buy a big mansion, while the older generation want a simple home away from the busy cities.

Then there are those who treat life as an adventure and turn vehicles into rolling homes, with amazing builds most custom shops could only dream of carrying out.

Time to meet one such incredible woman.

Jessy Muller, known on Instagram as @slowroamer, enjoys her life on the road in her DIY renovated Dodge Commander RV since 2017.

After purchasing the 1978 Commander in 2016, she went to work and transformed her vintage rig for over a year.

She has no prior knowledge or experience renovating an RV.

Jessy had to learn carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and vehicle maintenance all on her own.

To think that she thought she’d get stuck with a “really ugly motorhome” in her search for an RV.

That is until she found this vintage RV on Craigslist one day.

It did suit her aesthetic, but the best part was that it was also being sold for an incredible $1,900!

So she arrived with cash in hand, realizing as well that she wasn’t the only interested buyer.

Luckily for Jessy, the other interested buyer fell through, so her dream RV, which she lovingly nicknamed “Mander,” was hers.

This is a build that blends form and function together brilliantly.

You’ll find basket storage on all sorts of shelves in every nook and cranny of the RV.

There is a table that folds or flips up depending on her needs, so when she needs cooking space it folds down, but once she’s ready to eat, it just flips back up.

It’s so simple but very smart design wise.

Of course, she had to make sure that her stuff on the shelves were held securely in place, as driving along bumpy or curvy roads could mean things falling off and making a mess.

As for the RV, it is an old vehicle so the gauges don’t always work.

Jessy’s had to deal with a lot of electrical issues, fuel pumps, transmission lines, and lots of other maintenance-related matters.

It’s got a very hipster feel inside, with nice personal touches reflecting the kind of lifestyle and personality she has.

And she has a cat named Moonchi, so the RV is also designed to be cat friendly.

Jessy wasn’t married, didn’t own a home, hadn’t gone to college, and wasn’t doing any of the stuff society tried to tell her to do.

But look at just how happy she is!

It’s got a sink, with her dishes and utensils stored up top, and they’re all stainless so she can reheat food with ease.

Jessy has a decent bathroom and shower, a comfortable bed with stunning lights, and the best part is she can take everything everywhere.

There’s a lot to take in with Jessy’s lovely rolling home so you’ll have to take the video tour, which is so worth the time.
