For car owners, one of the things we’re never told about is maintenance.

Car ownership doesn’t just end with knowing how to drive. It’s also about taking care of your vehicle to make sure the machine is in top condition whenever you hit the road.

However, no one will tell you about carwashes, car insurance, and that it’s really difficult to clean your car’s inside windshield.

Good thing other car owners are willing to lend a hand.

This is perfect for those of us who are used to just cleaning the outside of our cars and for those who like to do things by themselves.

After all, some people are much more comfortable knowing no one else is handling their cars.

In this video, YouTube content creator Chris Notap shows us how to clean the windshield.

It is one of the most difficult to clean because it’s inclined to an awkward angle. You’d have to position yourself properly inside the vehicle to make sure you can clean every part.

For this task, it’s good to know that common windshield cleaning materials are the only things involved. No fancy skill, no expensive equipment – just a tub of soap and some elbow grease then you’re set.

Chris shared his secret weapon for the task.

He showed his viewers a mini squeegee that’s perfect for small-scale cleaning. He provided the links to the store in the video.

If it’s not available, look for a silicone squeegee. It’s the same thing your baking ladles are made of. Look for those with shorter and firm handles.

Ordinary squeegees can work but those with frames that are longer than the scraping part can give your car scratches.

Next, go get a bucket and some dishwashing soap.

Chris recommends Dawn since it does a good job of cleaning glass. To prepare your cleaning solution, just squeeze a bit of soap into a tub of water.

Dunk in a cleaning rag and wring it to remove excess water. Cover your dashboard with a bath towel then wipe the interior side of your windshield.

Then, using the squeegee, scrape off the soapy solution from side to side.

After a stroke, get a dry rag and wipe your squeegee dry. Repeat the process until you clean off the soap from the windshield.

You can use the squeegee as well to wipe off the remaining streaks if there are any. Chris swears that the entire process can take as short as 3 minutes.

And that’s how you can clean the inside of your windshield.

“I use it on my golf cart windshield as well and is equally effective. I even started using the wet microfiber towels after I was done wiping down all the mirrors. A bowl of water with a couple of drops of dawn goes a long way!” one comment said.
