Nowadays, it seems like each tiny home we come across is more impressive than the next. “Living tiny” is gaining popularity, prompting tiny home designers to get more and more creative when it comes to making a functional living space under 500-square-feet.

Designer Matt Impola, with Handcrafted Movement, created this absolutely adorable 250-square-foot farmhouse and hand-crafted nearly every square inch of it.

Matthew’s Handcrafted Movement project was started in an effort to “play a part in the rebirth of American ingenuity and quality in manufacturing.” It ended up taking him around 700 hours and around 10 months to build.

Walking into the home, you’d never guess you were in a tiny house on wheels. It feels like a luxurious country getaway.

Large windows let in an abundance of natural light into the home’s great room which features a kitchen, seating area, and dining table. Reclaimed and salvaged wood elements throughout the home give the space a lovely rustic touch.

The fully-functional kitchen looks like it was ripped straight from the pages of a magazine.

The details in this 250-square-foot home are what make it so impressive. The handmade wooden shelf matches the same wood that was used for the loft’s stabilizing beam. Notice the copper pipework that was used for the sleeping loft’s railing as well – stunning!

Multi-use furniture is absolutely key when you’re living in a tiny home. A sofa that converts into a bed is a great way to save space without having to skimp on design or luxury. Other great space-saving options are desks or tables that fold up and down, Murphy beds, and modular furniture.

Believe it or not, the 250-square-foot home has a full-size bathroom.

“There is something magical and life giving about transforming raw materials into functional art. In a world of homogeneous overproduction I strive to go against the grain and alter the natural materials as little as possible. I’m equally interested in form and function so strive to make beautiful objects that will work well in the real world for years to come,” Matt says on his website.

Although the inside is the real show-stopper, there are incredible details on the exterior as well.
