1) Prevent Funky Clothing Smells
We’ve all been there. We put on a shirt and don’t realize until we’re already out that it smells funky. Prevent this by hanging a bag of chalk in your closet to absorb moisture and odor and keep your clothes smelling fresh.
2) Get Rid of Deodorant Marks
Don’t leave your house with embarrassing deodorant marks. And don’t wipe it away with a tissue that will leave pieces behind. Use an old pair of pantyhose instead.
We’ve all heard someone tell us to put some club soda on it when we’re out and get a stain. But it actually works. Dab your stain with a clean cloth soaked in club soda to help absorb the stain. You have a higher chance of it coming out in the wash that way.
4) Cover Bleach Stains With A Sharpie
Don’t toss out your bleach stained black clothing. Touch up the stains with a black Sharpie. It will look good as new.
If you were trying to get a cool ripped jean look but ripped them way too far, there is a fix for this. Wear a pair of tights underneath it. You can also sew a panel of fabric underneath it.

Use cream of tartar to get rid of that ring around the collar. Dampen your collar with water and sprinkle it with cream of tartar. Rub the cream of tartar into your stain and toss in the laundry.
If you have slippery shoes and need an extra grip when its icy out, use a zip tie. Just fasten one around your shoe. Keep the fastener facing down to create the tractions.
Rub the teeth of your zipper with some wax paper. The move the zipper up and down. The wax paper will coat the zipper teeth and allow it to slide again.

18) Get Rid Of Ink Stains
Dab the stain with some rubbing alcohol. Press the stain firmly and rinse. If it doesn’t work, try nail polish remover or acetone.
19) Stop A Run in Pantyhose
Got a run in your pantyhose? You can stop it from spreading with clear nail polish. Just dab some on the run.
Don’t trip over a loose hem. You can use paper clips in an emergency. They will hold up your hem until you can get home. You can also use a stapler.
Bring your suede back to life with a nail file. Just gently file away dirt. You can also use stale bread crust or pencil eraser.

23) Keep Your Glasses From Sliding
Having to constantly adjust your glasses is really annoying. Apply a line of hot glue to the inside of each arm of your glass near the back where they rest above your ears and let dry. This will keep them from continually sliding down your nose and off your face.
If your shoes are feeling a little too tight, there is a way to loosen them up. Put on thick socks and put your shoes on over it. Run your hair dryer over it for a minute or two and wear your shoes until they cool down.
Bring your scuffed leather shoes back to life with a banana peel. Just rub the inside of a peel on your scuffs. Use a paper towel to shine them up.
26) Unshrink Your Clothes
Accidently shrinking an item of clothing doesn’t mean it’s the end of that piece of clothing. Fill a bucket or sink with lukewarm water and add a cup of baby shampoo. Let your piece of clothing soak in the work and work the water and shampoo through with your hands to relax the fibers. Take it out and gently squeeze your clothing but don’t ring or rinse it. Lay it flat on a towel and roll the towel with the clothing in it and press gently. Stretch the piece gently while it lays out to dry on a dry towel.
Are your clothes stick to you because of static cling? Spray the inside of your clothing with a light layer of hair spray. You can also rub your clothes with a dryer sheet.
28) Zipper That Won’t Stay Up
Does your fly keep falling down? Attach a key ring to the end of a zipper. Hook the ring around the button of your pants.
If you don’t have time to iron or aren’t home to do so, you can try a wrinkle spray. Just spray your clothing, pull on your clothing a bit, and let air dry. Mix 1 tsp of conditioner, 1 tbsp of white vinegar and 2 cups of water to create your spray.
30) Fix A Button That Fell Off
Shove a straightened paper clip through the hole where the thread used to be and through a hole of your button. Bend your paper clip and put the other end through your other button hold and back into your shirt. Twist the paper clip to keep it in place.
If the thong in your flip-flop has fallen out you can temporarily secure it with a bread bag tag. Pull the thong post back through your flip-flop. Place a bread tag around it.
32) Fix A Brooch With A Magnet
Do you have a brooch you love to wear with a faulty fastener? Use a magnet to help keep it in place. Just place it behind the fabric and the brooch in fron to fit.
33) Cover A Stain On A White Shirt
Don’t get stuck with a stain while you’re wearing white. Dab some correction fluid over it to cover the stain.
34) Temporary Earring Backing
Earring backings are tiny and easy to lose. If you find that you’re missing one when you’re out, pull off the end of a pencil eraser. Push the eraser through the prong of your earring to keep it in place.
Don’t let your outfit get soaked because of a tear in an umbrella. Just go find some masking tape. It will temporarily cover the hole so you don’t get wet.
