You probably already have dryer sheets in your home, and you likely use them to make your clothes soft and fragrant. Did you know there are plenty of other uses for these affordable household items? Here are a few of them.
(1) Remove Bugs From Vehicles
Nobody likes to deal with dead bugs all over their cars. Cleaning them off can be difficult, and even detergent doesn’t seem to help sometimes. Instead of spending money on expensive cleaning products, just use a damp dryer sheet to scrub off the bugs.
(2) Remove Burnt Food From Dishes
If you have a bunch of burnt-on food and gunk on your pots and pans, no amount of scrubbing can help. Instead of spending hours with the sponge, just place a dryer sheet and a couple drops of dish soap in the dish or pot, and let it soak overnight. The dryer sheet will loosen the burnt food, so it’s easier to remove.
(3) Clean Soap Scum In The Shower
Soap scum can be gross to deal with, but someone has to clean it. Instead of scrubbing until it feels like your arms are going to fall off or paying a lot for cleaning products, just use something you already have at home. A damp dryer sheet will clean that soap scum right off the shower.

Struggling with static cling? Just use a dryer sheet to remove it. Simply rub the dryer sheet on the clothing with static and watch it go away.

If you have a tangle in your thread, you can get it out with the help of a dryer sheet. Just sew through the sheet, and as the thread passes through, it will become untangled.
(14) Clean Up Dry Messes
Spilled something dry and can’t get it up? Dryer sheets can fix that. Simply place them on the spill, and the dry stuff will stick to them and be easier to remove.
(15) Remove Sand From Skin
Planning a trip to the beach but don’t want to deal with the sand? Use a dryer sheet to wipe it off you. It will even remove damp sand. Just toss a couple in your beach bag, and you will be ready for a fun day at the beach.
(16) Fire Starters
Roll up a dryer sheet and dip it in wax. Toss it on some dry kindling, and it will help your fire burn hot and start easier. Make a few for your next camping trip or bonfire.
(17) Clean Hair Brushes
It can sometimes be hard to clean your hairbrushes, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it. A dryer sheet can be run through the brush to remove any dirt and grime and also give it a fresh scent.
(18) Remove Deodorant Stains
Deodorant stains can ruin your clothes, but the best way to get them out is with a dryer sheet. Simply rub the dryer sheet on the stain, and it will come right out. It will also make your clothes smell great.

If you need to give your bedroom a fresh scent, just stick some dryer sheets in various places around the room. You can tuck them in drawers, under the bed, and even in your closet. They will give you room a clean and fresh scent and make it more comfortable.
(20) Swiffer Alternative
Need to mop but ran out of Swiffer pads? You can use dryer sheets in place of them. They attach to the Swiffer easily and work just as well.
(21) Soften Feet
Got hard, crusty feet? Use some dryer sheets, and they will be soft as a baby’s. Just put some dryer sheets on the bottoms of your feet and then put socks on over them. Sleep in them overnight, and by morning, your feet will be soft.
(22) Deer Repellant
Deer don’t like the smell of dryer sheets. If you put the sheets in your garden or around your home, you can scare them away. They will move on to another location and leave your gardens alone.
(23) Toilet Ring Cleaner
Few things are as gross as a dirty toilet, but it happens. If you want to clean your toilet ring, put on some gloves, grab a couple dryer sheets, and scrub it clean. The dryer sheets can pull up any dirt stuck on the ring.
(24) Save Potting Soil
When you put potting soil in pots and then water your plants, a lot of that dirt drains out through the holes in the bottoms of these pots. Put some dryer sheets in the bottom before adding soil. The water will drain but the dirt will stay in place.
(25) Repel Insects
Dryer sheets are great for keeping insects away. Simply place them around your home, and the insects won’t come near. They can also make your home smell nice.
(26) Iron Cleaner
Your iron can get rusty and dirty over time, and it can be hard to clean. Just dampen a dryer sheet and then rub it on the iron. It will pull off all the dirt and grime, and your iron will look new again.
(27) Clean Paint Brushes
Paint brushes can be hard to clean, but dryer sheets make it easier. Just wash the brush out and then wipe the brush on the dryer sheet. It will absorb the paint and get the brush cleaner.
(28) Clean Window Blinds
Window blinds can collect a lot of dust and be hard to clean. Don’t mess with taking them down or soaking them in the tub. Instead, use some dryer sheets to remove all the dust that has accumulated on them. Just wipe them, and the dust sticks to the dryer sheets.
(29) Remove Crayon Marks
Some kids color on the walls, and it can be hard for parents to remove the marks. Instead of spending a lot of money on fancy products that may not work, just use some dryer sheets. Rub the dryer sheets on the crayon marks, and they will come right off.
(30) Remove Gum From Dryer
We’ve all opened the dryer to find that someone left a pack of gum in their pockets and now it’s all over the dryer. Don’t panic, a dryer sheet can save it. Just use the dryer sheet to wipe up the gum while the dryer is still warm. It should come right off.
(31) Sharpen Scissors
You might not think that something as soft as a dryer sheet could be used to sharpen scissors, but it can. Just open the scissors and put dryer sheets between the blades. Gently and carefully slide the dryer sheets up and down the blades to sharpen them.
(32) Scrapbooking
Dryer sheets can be painted, colored, cut, folded, and just about anything else you want to do to them. This makes them perfect for scrapbooking. Simply save your old ones and use them however you want in your scrapbook.
(33) Envelopes
If you need to store something and don’t have any envelopes on hand, just use a dryer sheet instead. Fold the dryer sheet like an envelope and stitch or glue it shut after your item is inside. These are much prettier than regular envelopes, too.
(34) Sachets
Sachets are a great way to refresh the clothing in your drawers and can even be given as wedding gifts. You can make your own using dryer sheets and fragrant flowers. Put the flowers between two sheets, and then sew them together.
(35) Make Flowers For Crafts
Cut out circles of different sizes out of dryer sheets and then paint them. Stack them on top of each other, with the biggest on the bottom and the smallest on the top. Secure them with a pin or a few stitches, and then decorate. You now have some adorable flowers that can be used for a variety of crafts.
