Don’t throw all those toilet paper rolls just yet!
Did you know that you can make so many beautiful things from those paper rolls?
We’re not kidding.
As long as you have the time and the patience, you’ll love turning these paper rolls into functional art.
Aside from that, you are also helping the environment by upcycling. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
Today, we’ll be featuring MissDebbieDIY’s YouTube video, which, by the way, has already earned more than 10M views.
The beauty of tp rolls
She created four easy and creative recycled arts from empty tissue roll cartons.
Let us look at each one and see if you can do it too.
Recycled pencil container
You will need:
- 2 11.5 cm empty toilet cardboard roll
- 3 regular sized used cardboard from tissue rolls
- Flat cardboard
- Marker
- Cutter
- Paste
- Glue gun and glue stick
- Ruler
- Colored papers (any design you like)
- Scissors
- Colored paper
- Design or art materials
Steps:
- Cover each cardboard roll inside and outside with colored paper. Glue them together.
- Cut one cardboard and lay it flat. Using a plate, cut a curved line from the cardboard and glue in front of the four rolls.
- Using flat cardboard, trace the shape of the pencil container, cut, and paste. This will serve as the base of the pencil holder.
- Design as you wish. The uploader added rhinestone and a tiny flower in the center.
Recycled kitchen tissue roll holder
You will need:
- 2 Old music CDs
- Superglue
- Old paintbrush
- Old fabrics
- Scissors
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Art materials
- Empty paper roll cardboard
Steps:
- Glue your old music cd and then cover it with fabric. Make sure you cover both ends.
- Add design. The uploader added tiny white peals around it.
- Cut 20 cm from a long paper towel cardboard and then cover with fabric.
- Once dry, glue on end on the cd plate. Design accordingly.
- Let it dry and use it as a new paper towel holder.

- Carefully cut them until you have seven pieces. Using your glue gun, glue them securely together.
- Create patterns on all cardboard.
- Paint and let it dry.
Then, trace it on flat cardboard twice, but don’t forget to leave a little tail of around 1 1/2 inches. It will look like a cloverleaf.
Create another square and then combine all of them.
- Cover with fabric or colored paper.
- This will serve as your base and cover. Don’t forget to put two strings on each end.
- Glue the cardboard circles.
