Carmen and Bill used to live in an enormous home in Florida with around 5000 sq. feet.

However, the couple moved into a tiny 400 sq. ft home in the Tiny House Community in Tennessee.

For the lovely couple, living in a big house for 21 years had been tiring.

And downsizing was a journey.

They had accumulated so much and they had to maintain all of it over the years.

After moving to a 10×40 tiny home that was around 25k pounds and 14 feet tall, they realized something.

They’d made the best decision ever.

It was like a huge burden has been lifted from their shoulders.

Their tiny home has 16 windows.

Some of which are quite large for better lighting.

They also have a metal roof that they chose because it was beautiful and for its longevity.

They have a beautiful mudroom.

When you enter the rear door, the mudroom will welcome you.

It was inspired by a comment from the host of the show bringing us the tour, Jenna with “Tiny House Giant Journey”.

In a separate episode, Carmen heard Jenna say the one thing she can’t stand about most tiny homes is that they enter directly into the living room.

Enter a gorgeous and cozy mudroom, problem solved!

You enter the mud room, remove your shoes, hang your coat, and you also see their stackable washer and dryer.

Perfect for tossing dirty laundry in before muddying up the house.

They have a downstairs bathroom.

Then, there’s the “man cave”.

There are stairs on the left side of the mudroom that leads to the “man cave” where you will be greeted by a huge bed.

Bill and Carmen said they are planning on putting a TV up there too.

It’s a cozy area where you can watch your favorite game. It’s also their spare bedroom.

Downstairs, you’ll see the stunning wide kitchen with a smaller but deeper sink.

Their home is filled with plants.

At the back side of their home, their plant shelves beam as accents to the overall craftsmanship.

Instead of just a wooden back panel, they transformed it into a stunning set of shelves with plants.

They also have a full-sized refrigerator and many baskets rather than drawers.

They have a smaller gas range but no oven. According to Carmen, they plan on adding an outside deck and that is where they will put the oven.

Even the range hood is stunning.

Bill gave this normally overlooked feature of the home special attention when crafting it.

Not only is it composed of a modern stainless steel fan, but the hood is a gorgeous blond wood.

Did I mention the sides double as custom-built wine holders?

Carmen said that Bill had so much vision, and he was an artist.

She said she allowed him to do anything he wanted, and indeed, he proved to her that his visions were beautiful.

The river Jordan spans their countertops.

One highlight is the long blue design on their kitchen countertop, which Carmen said was an inlay inspired by the Jordan River.

If you look closer, you’ll even see the 12 beautiful stones inside, representing the 12 stones laid on Israel’s journey to the Promise Land.

3 beautiful arches cap it all.

These beamed arches were designed by Bill himself, and they set the entire vibe of the home.

They also connect to shelves with lighting and space for plants.

Next, Carmen showed them their lounge area, which was super cozy.

Carmen also explained their reverse loft, which contains a closet and some gym equipment to keep them fit.

Of course, there’s the master bedroom.

In their loft room, you can see their office area with a stunning view outside.

Next is their upstairs bathroom complete with a full shower and toilet.
