… or it was supposed to be. How hard can it be to install a kitty door? Come to find out, it was harder than this person thought.
6. It was a ploy
How sweet. This man’s in-laws invited him and his wife over for a delicious homecooked meal. This guy had every right to be suspicious.
7. At least the design is cool
The only problem with this individual’s beautiful front lawn was the weeds that kept popping up. So, they purchased some weed and feed. Actually, they bought weed killer.

Yes, it was until lightning struck it. While impressive, it’s also scary. If nothing else, this person won’t have to worry about the mail carrier delivering any bills for a while.
9. Time to winterize
People who own mountain cabins know the importance of winterizing before closing it during the cold months. These people knew that. Yet somehow, they failed to do it.

11. He was wrong … very wrong
This husband’s only job was to measure for a new door. But he incorrectly told his wife that all doors are the same size. Good try, but at least he fessed up to the error.

16. Little yet mighty
Not even two strong hammers could take on this small nail. Dang, what brand is that thing? Construction companies should be required to use it … nothing will fall apart.
17. The supernatural
How else could this happen? At 4:00 a.m., these kitchen cabinets went crazy. And according to the homeowner, there was no valid reason why.
18. Poor installation
To think that a small plant placed on a shelf over the toilet could do all this. It seems as though someone didn’t install the shelf correctly. No pointing fingers here.
19. It’s easy, they said
A lot of people going through lockdown because of COVID 19 have filled their time with DIY projects. That includes this person who followed an easy tutorial online for painting closet doors. Sadly, the video didn’t say anything about removing the clothes inside first.
20. Time for new appliances …

21. It’s an omen
When the smoke detector catches fire, it’s trying to tell you something. And if we were this person, we wouldn’t wait around to find out what. Call a moving company, now.
22. Craft time

23. Someone doesn’t understand physics
And we don’t know if that’s the homeowner or a contractor. But it doesn’t really matter. Either way, this shower isn’t going to drain.
24. Not funny
You almost want to laugh but at the same time, you feel sorry for this person. After a major storm, the backyard was a mess … not really. The lightweight plastic chairs didn’t budge yet the heavy and expensive grill ended up in the swimming pool.
25. 1-800-lawsuit
This proves that the lowest bid doesn’t always equal quality. The worker did a poor installation job, actually, they didn’t do any installation at all. Yep, someone needs a lawyer.
26. Now, that’s interesting
Late at night, this guy got thirsty. So, he headed to the kitchen. When he went to open the refrigerator door, the whole thing came off.
27. Slick move
No, seriously, this involved a slick move. This person stepped out of the shower. But thanks to a wet, slippery floor, this is how the bathroom looked when it was all over.
28. New concrete floors
When installed correctly, concrete floors are stunning. This guy hired a contractor to do work in his home. But he received this photo from a friend who stopped by to check on the progress … he wasn’t even supposed to get concrete floors.
29. Imperfect timing
Call it fate, bad luck, or even karma. After waiting for a long time, this individual finally purchased a new glass top stove. Within hours, the kitchen cabinets above decided they didn’t like it, so, they attacked.
30. Not rocket science
You don’t have to be a genius to figure out what caused this hole in the wall. Immediately, you know someone fell down the stairs. Then, by the size and shape of the hole, you know which part of their body made impact.
31. A gust of wind
In this case, it was more than a gust. One day in Ohio, winds exceeded 110 miles per hour, which is how this lawn chair became embedded in the side of the house. All we can say … showoff.
32. No injuries
Luckily, whoever lives in this house was sound asleep at 3:00 a.m. That’s when the sink and countertop exploded. They still don’t know why.
33. You’ve got to be kidding
No, this person didn’t have kitchen cabinets go crazy. And his bathroom countertop didn’t explode. Instead, his roof caved in during the middle of the night.
34. Undisclosed information
When buying a house, isn’t the seller supposed to disclose all information? Perhaps they weren’t aware of the 30-foot well beneath the floor. But the new owner found it and fell all the way to the bottom … he lived.
35. So discouraging
After a lot of hard work, this individual lost one-third of their body weight. They were super excited to live normally again. Their only question … why now after losing so many pounds?
36. Three in one
One, the kitchen cabinet fell off the wall, two, it caused all of the dishes this person had collected for years to break, and three, the crash popped off the refrigerator door. Somehow, the individual maintained an excellent attitude. They weren’t worried about losing the dishes because, with a broken refrigerator, they didn’t have any food.
37. So close and yet so far
This individual was excited to buy a new slat-style bed for their queen-sized mattress. In no time, they had it set up and ready to go. Then, they discovered they had a full-sized mattress.

39. How thoughtful
This guy also bought a house. The sellers were gracious enough to leave him with a mini-refrigerator that he could use in the basement’s “man cave.” The only problem … it wasn’t a fridge but a freezer.
40. Having a bad day
First, the door handle broke off in this guy’s hand as he was leaving his apartment. That was followed by him cutting his finger and discovering that he was now locked inside. Yep, time to look for a new place to live.
41. Leave it to a man
Sorry, guys, but you know it’s true. You don’t like to accept help from others. This man’s fiancé offered to help carry the paint downstairs in the house they just bought … but no, he could do it himself.
42. Just renters …
… and it’s a good thing. They were lucky they didn’t own the place. If so, they’d have a lot to deal with getting that toppled-over tree out of their hallway.
43. What a beautiful day
Or at least it was until these people got out of bed. Heading to the kitchen for their morning cup of coffee, they realized something didn’t look right. One question … how in the world did they sleep through all the noise?
44. They were moving
After living in their apartment for two years, this person was moving. And like a lot of people, they planned to use their security deposit for their new place. Well, that’s no longer an option since the glass in the oven door decided to shatter mere hours before leaving.
45. So pretty
After saving up enough money, this person finally bought a new smart TV. They were super excited when it arrived. Then when they took it out of the box, their excitement quickly faded.
46. Six weeks
That’s how long this contractor waited for his client’s new toilet to arrive. And this was one of those fancy high-end styles. Someone has a lot of explaining to do.
47. We know what you did
One look at the floor and these soon-to-be homeowners knew what happened. It was nice to see the contractors got all the doors painted. It wasn’t so nice to see that they failed to put plastic on the floor.
48. Hopeless
When a basement looks like this, forget about posting on Facebook that you need a contractor. In this case, the individual needs a miracle. Even better, a moving truck.
49. Not big enough
For a water leak that size, a tiny bucket won’t do. This person needs a horse trough. That along with calling the water department to shut things down immediately.
50. Rule of thumb
For homeowners and renters, here’s a basic rule about attics. Most don’t have any kind of flooring. That includes even those with stairs leading to the inside.
