I will never get tried of discovering the newest tiny homes. The designs continue to leave me in awe of the intelligence required to create an open living space out of a tiny square foot area.
The team at New Frontier Tiny Homes have just opened their newest addition, Alpha Tiny Home, to the world.
Question: How is the Alpha different to others? Answer: its elegance in including as many luxury features as possible into a 240 square foot trailer. Yes, a trailer. The Alpha is intended to take you anywhere you want to go!
Don’t worry. At this stage, I too was still asking myself how a trailer can be luxurious. But, I promise, IT CAN.
Unlike many other tiny houses, the Alpha’s design theme starts from the outside. The exterior boasts shou sugi ban charred cedar siding. You will also notice the large glass windows and the glass-encased-garage-style roller door, which can be opened onto the fold-down deck and awning.
However, I say this once, I say this again. A tiny house’s true inspiration is found when walking inside. And, the Alpha is no exception to this rule. Like many of it’s counterparts, the Alpha is designed with the idea of multi-functionality in order to allow for a larger living area. The design theme can only be described as ‘rustic meets classy’, where the exposed timber contrasts to the tiled walls and modern features/fittings/furniture.
The entire dining area is on a raised platform. The steps walking up to the platform can be pulled out and opened to find ample storage space (including a place to hold the stairs to the sleeping area). In can then be converted into the dining table!!.
The kitchen provides the same features as a traditional home. It includes the latest and greatest appliances including, a double fridge, dishwasher, sink and induction cook top. There is plenty of over-head space to hold those extra large groceries, pots, pans, plates and bowels. Perhaps you wish to use the space for decorative features instead?
If you are not yet impressed, then I draw your attention to the bathroom. You will feel on vacation with the jacuzzi hot tub, shower and toilet! The washing machine and dryer are also a feature of the bathroom, but do not impede on the space.
The sleeping area provides enough space to sleep two.
So, by now you can’t decide between calling your bank for the funds or running scared at the thought of the price. Well, never fear. New Frontier Tiny sell their designs at $95,000USD for the base-line features.
