From easy-to-do recipes, tutorials on how to fix a microwave oven, how to build your own home, how to bake, what is the square root of 20,736, where are the best holiday destinations on Earth, and a whole bunch more. Whatever question that you might have in mind, even the silliest, surely, the internet has an answer to it.

Kidding aside, tutorial videos of simple “how-to’s” have been helping people around the globe, particularly those busy individuals who are looking for promptness and efficiency.

Just try to go a couple of decades back and think about how people look for tutorials like what we have today.

It must’ve been so hard for them that it probably took hours just to look for the nearest hospital or restaurant. This is when we can all say, “Thank you, Google!” Life has been a lot easier because of its existence.

This tutorial video is no different but still fascinating to watch. It’s from a YouTube channel called ‘Little Star CC‘ that will teach us all how to mend a hole in our beloved sweater. Very timely if I may say since we will soon have the cold season in no time.

The outcome of this video will go above your expectations that you’d end up putting more holes in your sweaters.

The process shown in the video was knitting, it’s not the usual and traditional sewing since it goes with such patterns and traces.

According to Wikipedia, “Knitting is a method by which yarn is manipulated to create a textile, or fabric. It is used to create many types of garments. Knitting may be done by hand or by machine. Knitting creates stitches: loops of yarn in a row, either flat or in the round (tubular). There are usually many active stitches on the knitting needle at one time. Knitted fabric consists of a number of consecutive rows of connected loops that intermesh with the next and previous rows. As each row is formed, each newly created loop is pulled through one or more loops from the prior row and placed on the gaining needle so that the loops from the prior row can be pulled off the other needle without unraveling.”

They also added that “Differences in yarn (varying in fibre type, weight, uniformity and twist), needle size, and stitch type allow for a variety of knitted fabrics with different properties, including color, texture, thickness, heat retention, water resistance, and integrity.”

And for those who know nothing about knitting, a small sample of knitwork is known as a “swatch.”

Criss, cross, over, under – Whew! Knitting is no joke!

A lot of people all around the globe are hooked on knitting. Some do it during their leisure time, while others do knitting as their source of income, especially elderly people who could no longer do strenuous activities.

But don’t get us wrong, knitting is for people from all walks of life and it requires no age at all.

I guess, it wasn’t just me but this viewer too who wrote in the comments, “I don’t sew, knit or crochet. I will probably never mend a sweater, yet here I am 6am, coffee and watching YOU, mend a sweater. Fascinating!”

Don’t miss a single second of the video or you might end up missing an important step of the process.
