Grandparents normally spoil their grandchildren with sweets, toys and stand by their side when they’re in trouble with the parentals. One grandpa went above-and-beyond the expectations of the typical grandparent duties.
Paul Gregg is a retired Aerospace engineer from Utah and wanted to put his years of work and education experience to good use. In February of 2014, Gregg retired from his engineering job and focused on his new aspirations- the blueprint design for a simple backyard rollercoaster for his six adorable grandkids!
According to Sunny Skyz, what started off as just one roller coaster design quickly multiplied into three thrilling rides. “I saw a couple of people who tried (making them online) and I thought I could do a lot better, so things got out of control,” Gregg explained.
After two years of hard work, the exhilarating rollercoasters are now fully complete and ready to take on riders. Gregg’s grandchildren have three exciting coasters to choose from- the original coaster, a larger coaster, and a smaller coaster named ‘The Little Rocket’ for kids under two.
Gregg’s grandkids never have to pay for those ridiculous amusement park tickets or wait in lengthy time-consuming lines. All they have to do is knock on Granddad’s door, pay him with a few hugs and a giant smile. Paul Gregg definitely wins the ‘Best Grandpa Award.’
