With the fall season upon us, it’s time to refresh your garden!
You’ve probably been getting tired of the same old plants since summer time and with the weather getting colder, you’ll begin to notice some of your summer beauties beginning to droop. When people think of autumn, they don’t tend to think of gorgeous and bright flowers – but this actually isn’t true at all. There are plenty of bright perennials that bloom through fall that will keep your garden looking cheery – check out our complete list of all the flowers your garden needs this season!

1. Stock Flower
This classic flower comes in a huge variety of colors, such as white, cream, purple, lavender, pink, and yellow. Plus, stock is incredibly easy to take care of – the perfect additional to any autumn garden.
2. Winter Jasmine
This delicate jasmine flower is a much loved fall flower thanks to its warm yellow color and delicate, wispy structure. Winter jasmine is perfect if you’re trying to give your garden that effortless, whimsical style.
3. Viola
These adorable and miniature pansy-like flowers are exactly what you need in your garden this fall. Not only are they perfect for edging, but they also add a pop of dramatic color!
4. Cineraria
Cineraria, or more commonly called daisies, loves shade and tends to grow well in planters, especially during the cold season. Make sure you give these guys plenty of water but also a well-draining container to see them flourish fully.
5. English Primrose
While most varieties of primrose bloom in summer and spring, English primrose will last well into fall and can add the pop of color you need this season. Make sure to give your primrose full sun in cooler weather and water regularly.
6. Hellebores
These gorgeous flowers range in colors from light pinks to dramatic purples, as pictured below. Plant hellebores in in the spring for flowers through summer and into fall.
7. Iceland Poppies
As if the name doesn’t already give it away, Iceland poppies grow well in cooler climates and need to be planted in full sun. These tall flowers will add some much needed height to your garden this fall.
8. Nemesia
Known for its bright colors and strong scent, nemesia flowers love full sun and well-drained soil. Be sure to prune back any faded or dying flowers to prolong their blooming time.
9. Ornamental Kale
While this might look edible, ornamental kale is sadly just that – ornamental. This cabbage-relative makes for a beautiful addition to any garden thanks to its interesting texture and pastel colors. Fun fact: this kale’s colors will intensify as the weather grows colder!
10. Snapdragon
If you’re looking for a beautiful yet hardy flower, snapdragons are everything you need this fall season. Snapdragons can blooms well into winter if the climate is mild enough – just make sure to give them plenty of sunshine and water!
11. Pansies
The pansy is the main family of flowers that violas belong to. These low growing plants are also ideal of edging and bloom for long periods of time in bright various colors. Like its cousin the viola, be sure to water these flower gently as their petals and leaves tend to bruise easily.
12. Calendula
Another hardy flower, calendula does best in well-draining soil with full sun and moderate to regular watering. These flowers usually come in variations of orange, yellow, and cream – the perfect colors for autumn.
13. Candytuft
These gentle flowers stay green year round, typically blooming in spring and fall. Like the other fall flowers, candytufts do best in well-drained soil but tend to like partial sunlight.
14. Cyclamen
Cyclamen is a well-known gift plant, ranging in colors from white to a deep red. They naturally grow in cooler climates which make them perfect for this cooler weather and grow best when kept out of direct sunlight.
