Sometimes the best things come in small packages – like Alfie the A-frame in British Columbia, Canada.
The adorable and charming cabin is located on the shore of the Sechelt Inlet of the Pacific Ocean and has endless amounts of hiking and mountain biking nearby. The home is listed on Airbnb and boasts lots of privacy, peace, and quiet. In fact, it’s the fourth most ‘wish-listed’ home in Canada.
The handcrafted structure was designed in the shape of a ship’s hull.
The beautiful loft cabin is situated in such a way that it gets plenty of afternoon sun – perfect for sitting on the upper or lower decks with a nice glass of wine, enjoying the views of birds and marine wildlife.
Like many A-frame homes, the cabin boasts an open floor plan and a sleeping loft.
The living room is open, spacious, and has two comfy sofas to relax and unwind. One of the couches is a sleeper sofa which provides a bed for two extra guests. The light wood walls which contrast with the darker wood beams give the cabin a rustic, natural feel.

Although the windows aren’t large, the owner’s made sure to make them abundant. Plenty of natural lights flows into the home with the afternoon sun. Grab a book from the bookshelf, take a seat in the corner armchair, and unplug.
Alfie the A-frame’s kitchen is modest, but it has every amenity you could possibly need.
The kitchen features a four-burner stove, full-size refrigerator, small sink, microwave, and toaster oven. The couple who owns the cabin made sure to include lots of storage underneath the countertops, hidden by a neutral-colored cloth.
The bright bathroom has a large skylight to let the sunshine pour in.
Not only does the cabin have a shower, but there is also a clawfoot tub, which is the epitome of relaxation. After a long day of hiking and exploring the Canadian wilderness, take a soak to relax your muscles.
The highlight of Alfie the A-frame is the gorgeous and welcoming sleeping loft.
The dreamy sleeping loft really shows off the unique shape of the hull-inspired cabin. The loft is large enough for a king-size bed, end tables, dressers, and even a small chair.
“Be careful, you may have the best sleep of your life here,” owners, Gary and Jen, say on the listing.
Watch the sunset from your own private balcony before settling down for the evening. Be sure to take advantage of the telescope and gaze at the stars in the northern Pacific sky before bedtime.
