Møn Huset, an architecture and building company in Denmark, wanted to design a home that didn’t draw a lot of attention to itself from the exterior, but completely took people’s breath away once inside. The final result was the Længehus.

The 600-square-foot Længehus sits amongst a garden in Tisvildeleje, Denmark. At first glance, the home doesn’t seem to be anything too special.

The garden is adorable with wildflowers and shrubbery, but the home itself doesn’t feature many windows or exciting architecture from this point of view. Just wait until you step around the back or take a look inside.

The great room of the Længehus is cozy, welcoming, and the perfect place to relax and unwind with your loved ones.

The small Danish home boasts a living room, kitchen, sleeping loft, bedroom, bathroom, and a covered outdoor dining room.

The long dining table consists of a comfortable bench on one side with chairs on the other. A great place for entertaining with lots of room for guests.

From this angle, you can catch a glimpse up to the sleeping loft accessed via ladder, the adorable kitchen, and to the far left, is the door leading to the al fresco dining area. To the far right and behind us is another seating area meant for relaxing.

Denmark winters aren’t anything to mess with; they are cold, snowy, and long. But that’s no problem when there’s a beautiful fireplace as the focal point of the Længehus.

The fireplace is wood burning, and thanks to its placement in the 600-square-foot house, it keeps every single room warm and cozy. Notice the large glass back door with views looking out to the garden and countryside.

At the opposite side of the home, you’ll find the small bedroom with tall vaulted ceilings.

Since the room is so tiny, furnishings and decor were kept to a minimum to help it feel less cluttered. The white ceilings and walls, as well as the skylight, help make the tiny space feel much larger than it really is.

The adorable kitchen has every amenity you could ever need.

Pictured here you’ll notice the stainless steel countertops, a full range with oven, and lots of shelving for storage. Opposite from this view is the sink, a small fridge, and even more counter space and storage. It’s a great kitchen for cooking meals for your friends and family to enjoy indoors at the long dining table, or outside at the incredible al fresco dining nook.

During warmer summer months, take the entertaining outside and utilize this incredible covered dining area.

Situated on the wooden deck that continues to wrap around the backside of the house, this charming outdoor area is overflowing with vintage and farmhouse decor; door closes to enclose it during the colder months. It really doesn’t get more inviting than this.

A rear view of the home provides a glimpse of what the front seems to hide. Beautiful windows, a large deck, and lots of land for kids or a dog to run around.
