Let’s be honest. We’ve all been there, staring at the rows of luxurious bed sheet options online, yearning for that perfect night’s sleep. But the price tags? Enough to make your eyes water! Today, I’m diving into the world of sheets, specifically comparing two popular brands: Dosaze and the internet-famous Brooklinen. Brooklinen’s flagship sheet set is a cotton percale weave, while Dosaze is a bamboo blend. Let’s dive into each, the pros and cons, and ultimately which one we prefer.

I understand the allure of Brooklinen. Before you empty your wallet, let’s see how they stack up against a rising star, Dosaze.

My husband and I slept on Dosaze and Brooklinen for 2 weeks each. Although they performed similarly, we both think we would choose Dosaze bed sheets over Brooklinen.

Here’s what we’ve compared and why we think Dosaze is a better choice.

Softness and Breathability – It’s a tie

Both brands deliver that oh-so-soft, cloud-like feeling we crave. They’re both breathable, allowing for a cool and comfortable sleep. Both sheets are soft and cool to the touch, we both enjoyed sleeping on them. We decided to do a steamer test on both sheets, as you can see both sheets are very breathable, there’s hardly a difference.

temperature regulation – slight edge to Dosaze

As you can see, the Dosaze sheet set is cooler than the brooklinen one. Both are relatively breathable, so they stay relatively cool, but the bamboo sheet set has more of a “cool to the touch” feel.

Moisture-Wicking – Dosaze is a big winner

Here’s where things get interesting. Dosaze, with its percale weave, seems to have a slight edge in wicking away moisture. Percale allows for more airflow, which can be helpful for hot sleepers or those who tend to sweat at night. Picture below shows the moisture level in the morning, with the same A/C temperature settings, Dosaze sheet is slightly dryer than Brooklinen.

Bamboo is KNOWN for wicking away moisture, and this is the main method by which bamboo materials manage your sleep environment throughout the night. You stay dry and cool with bamboo, whereas with cotton, you might feel a bit more “wet”.

Durability – Dosaze is a clear winner

Now, this is where Dosaze truly shines. While both sheets feel wonderful, Dosaze seems to have the upper hand when it comes to lasting power. Their blend of bamboo with a Proprietary Cool-Poly fiber adds an element of strength that pure bamboo, like the one used in Brooklinen, might lack.

Sleep Quality – It’s a tie

This is ultimately subjective, but I found both brands to provide a very comfortable and restful sleep. Both brands have exceptional bed sheets that provide a great night’s sleep. It’s very difficult for me and my husband to pick one winner.

Value – Dosaze is a clear winner

Ahh, the all-important price tag. Brooklinen boasts a hefty price point ($135), while Dosaze comes in at a much more affordable price, at $100. Combined with the other factors we looked at, Dosaze Luxury Bamboo Bed Sheet is the bang for the buck option.

My Verdict:

As someone who values both comfort and value, I’m leaning towards Dosaze Luxury Sheet Set. They deliver the same softness, breathability, and sleep quality to the more expensive option, with the added bonus of superior moisture-wicking and durability.

A good night’s sleep is priceless. But that doesn’t mean you have to break the bank to achieve it. With careful research and a little trial and error, you can absolutely find the perfect sheets to suit your needs and budget. Hope my review can help you make an educated decision. Happy sleeping!
