Castor oil is a vegetable oil that is typically found in soaps, lubricants, and paints, but this versatile oil has far more uses than that. It turns out, castor oil has many health and beauty benefits that can benefit your everyday life.

Treat Dark Eye Circles

Castor oil has a thick consistency which makes it perfect as an eye cream. It can be used to treat dark eye circles. Lightly pat the oil underneath tired eyes, and you will feel rejuvenated.

Pain Relief

Castor oil can treat arthritic pain or sprains. Fold a piece of wool or flannel into thirds. Then, soak it in castor oil and apply it to the area with pain. Wrap the castor oil soaked piece with plastic wrap to hold it in place. Let it sit for a while, and top it off with a hot water bottle or heating pad.

Thicker and Longer Hair

Castor oil is great at protecting against hair loss. The ricinoleic acid in castor oil helps replenish the natural oils found on your scalp. On top of that, antioxidants help strengthen your hair.

Mix three tablespoons of castor oil with one tablespoon of jojoba oil or coconut oil. Massage this in your hair for five minutes. Do not rinse it out.
