We start to shop online only to find out how much it costs to buy a single plant pot.
Good thing there are great hacks out there that will not only save us money; they also give us plenty of ideas on how we can recycle.

This DIY is so simple and so elegant that it hit the audience jackpot with almost 9 million views!

If you have tiles and old chairs, this project is definitely promising.
Bougie on a dime
Who says you have to spend hundreds of dollars just to buy big plant pots when you can recycle tiles and do it at home?

Here’s what you’ll need:
- Used chair
- Floor tiles
- Cement
- Tape measurer
- Pen

- Ceramic tile cutter
- Construction sand
- Paintbrush
- Paint

To start, here’s what you need to do:
1. Get your materials ready. First, you need to place the used chair upside down.
2. Then, you’ll notice there’s an inch or two that will serve as the bottom of the chair now that it’s upside down. Fill that up with regular sand.
3. Get a small container or a small basin; mix your cement and construction sand.

4. You can then put the cement mixture on top of the regular sand. Make sure to flatten it and let it rest.
5. While that’s resting, get a small PVC pipe and place it in the middle of the cement.
6. Next, measure the sides of the chair. If you’re using the same chair as in the video, you have to take two measurements.

7. Take the floor tiles and measure them.
8. Carefully cut them and set them aside. Once you have completed cutting the floor tiles, it’s time to assemble.
9. Line the floor tiles on the chair, using the chair as the mold.

10. Using a paintbrush and water, brush the inside corners of the pot.
11. Add cement to secure the corners and let them dry for a bit. Then, do the same on all four sides of the pot.
12. Once all four corners are smooth, let the pot dry for around three days.

13. Once the cement has dried, you can remove the chair mold and scrape all the regular sand off the top.
14. Using a small plant container or any plastic container, create four stands for the pot. Cut the base of the plastic container and add cement. Set it aside to dry.
15. Then, using cement, secure the four stands of your pot. Let it dry.

16. Once done, you can clean all the excess cement and start painting it according to your preference.
