When it comes to getting a good night’s rest, your pillow makes a huge difference.

Coop Home Goods has become a huge player in the pillow space with their adjustable pillows – however, a lot of competitors have been cropping up that are challenging its place at the top.

One of the top new competitors in 2021 is the Dosaze Adjustable Pillow – we decided to do a side by side comparison of the two so we can let you know which one is best.

We compared these two pillows across multiple dimensions and gave the following ratings – even, Coop/Dosaze slight winner, Dosaze/Coop clear winner.

Here’s a summary of how they stacked up.

  • Overall winner: Dosaze
  • Price: slight winner, Coop
  • Functionality/effectiveness: clear winner, Dosaze
  • Value: clear winner, Dosaze
  • Materials/quality: slight winner, Dosaze

Here’s some more detail on each of the categories above and how we came to our conclusions.

Price – slight winner, Coop

Coop’s Original Pillow is $72 and (although their newer pillow, the Eden, is $96), while the Dosaze pillow is priced at $99.99 (however, it’s important to note that Dosaze comes with an introductory 15% discount which makes it $84.99 so the difference isn’t as stark as you initially might think).

Coop takes the cake when it comes to price, at least at face value.

Although the Coop pillow has a slightly lower price of $72 compared to the Dosaze pillow at $99.99, you need to think long-term. While you might spend a little more upfront for the Dosaze Adjustable pillow, it’s going to last a lot longer because it has higher quality materials that are Made in the USA. In addition, it comes with a full 3-year warranty, so you know that in the rare case you do have an issue, you’re covered.

The Coop Home Goods Original pillow has a 5-year limited warranty that covers much less. For example, if you just wash the pillow slightly differently, then the warranty is voided. So, from a cost perspective, the Dosaze pillow is a much better investment.

Not only that but you can pay for this Dosaze pillow in four easy and interest-free installments of just $25 through Afterpay.

Functionality/effectiveness – clear winner, Dosaze

Coop and Dosaze make similar claims, but after we tested them, we prefer the Dosaze pillow, especially when it comes to relieving neck pain and tension headaches.

The biggest difference we found is that the Dosaze pillow filling is 100% memory foam, while the Coop pillows are a blend of memory foam and microfiber. You can definitely tell the difference in terms of how supportive the pillows feel when you sleep. Coop doesn’t try to hide this fact in its marketing:

We also prefer the feel of the Dosaze cover over the Coop pillow – we found it to be cooler, softer, and overall much more pleasant to sleep on.

Value – clear winner, Dosaze

Although the Coop pillow has a slightly lower price of $72 compared to the Dosaze pillow at $99.99, when we compare overall value, Dosaze wins.

While you might spend a little more upfront for the Contoured Orthopedic pillow, it’s going to last a lot longer because it has higher quality (Made in the USA) materials (the Coop Pillow is made in China). In addition, it comes with a full 3-year warranty, so you know that in the rare case you do have an issue, you’re covered. The Dosaze pillow also comes with a longer risk-free sleep trial (60 day vs. 30 day). You can have confidence that you’ll have more than enough time to tell if the pillow is the right one for you or not.

You also have to consider that the Dosaze pillow comes with cover, while the Coop pillow comes with a cheaper blended bamboo/microfiber cover that typically feels hot.

Not only that but you can pay for this Dosaze pillow in four easy and interest-free installments of just $25 through Afterpay.

Materials / quality – slight winner, Dosaze

Dosaze comes with a proprietary, Made in the USA, certified open cell gel memory foam – this certification means that the foam and factory through rigorous testing to ensure it met strict standards for content, performance, durability, and emissions. The filling is 100% memory foam.

The Coop Home Goods pillow is made in China – and once again, the filling is a memory foam and microfiber blend (while the Dosaze pillow contains 100% shredded memory foam).

After our review of both the Dosaze and Coop pillows, Dosaze is the clear winner. While it is slightly more expensive, the product is a better value and higher quality. You can also have confidence in the overall buying experience and security knowing your investment is under warranty and comes with a 60 day sleep trial.
