A mini heart strings pattern is absolutely beautiful. Here's how to crochet it

Getting a homemade knit blanket or scarf always makes one feel loved. The crochet heart stitch just amplifies that love. Here’s how you can simply create a crochet mini heart string. You can watch the video for further instruction.

Materials

  • Steel hook size 2.mm (#4 US)
  • Cotton mercerized yarn

Directions

1.) Start with a chain of four.

2.) Work into your first chain stitch of your foundation. Yank over the hook and insert it into your first chain stitch, then pull up the loop to the level of the chain stitch. Repeat four times.

3.) Yarn over the hook and pull it through the first two loops on the hook. Then yarn over and pull through three loops. Repeat this process through three loops until you have only two loops on your hook.

4.) Remove your hook and insert it through the loops again from the opposite side.

5.) Yank over the hook and insert it into your first chain stitch then pull up the loop to the level of the chain stitch. Repeat so there are six loops.

6.) Yarn over and pull through two loops on your hook.

7.) Yarn over and pull through three loops. Repeat this until you finish running through your loops and

8.) Your mini heart is done. To make a second heart, chain three.

9.) Work into the last three loops and pull your working yarn through it. Repeat it six times, so you have six loops.

10.) Yarn over and pull through your first two loops. Then yarn over and pull through three loops. Repeat until you loop through all of your loops.

11.) You should have two loops remaining on your hook. Pull off your hook and re-insert through your loops from the opposite end.

12.) Yarn over and work into the loop of your previous heart and pull the working yarn up six times so you have six loops.

13.) Yarn over pull through two loops on your hook, then yarn over and pull through three loops on your hook. Repeat until there are three loops left on your hook.

14.) Your second heart is done. Repeat the steps to create more hearts.
