Transform A Bookshelf Into A Beautiful Bar Cart

You don’t have to be rich in order to have fancy-looking things or fun statement pieces in your home. That’s what DIY projects are for! Have you always wanted a swanky-looking bar cart in your home? Well, now you can have one.

Here’s how to make a rolling bar cart from a bookshelf.

Step 1.) Clear off your bookshelf and use some tack nails to fasten decorative metal sheets to the back of your shelf.

Step 2.) Use some wood glue to attach a wooden board to the top of your bookshelf. Use short screws secure your board to your bookshelf.

Step 3.) Drill holes through the walls of your shelves so that you can slide a pipe through it. The top pipe should be one inch longer than your shelf. Cap the end off. The bottom should pipe should extend out longer to fit the shelf pockets you will make.

Step 4.) Screw in pilot wheels to a piece of wood for the bottom of your cart. Then add the piece of wood for the bottom of your cart the same way you installed the top piece of wood.

5.) Glue and hammer down some pieces of wood to either end of the bottom wooden board to create shelf pockets. Your pipe should hit the end of this piece of wood.

There are some optional items you can add to your bar cart, like cup or towel holders, which you can find here. Now you have yourself a really cool bar cart, which will give you a reason to throw more parties!
