Your bedroom should be the coziest place in your home. So, it only makes sense that your cozy bedroom would have a cozy rug. Stepping out of bed and onto a fluffy rug is pure luxury.
You can make your very own super soft pom-pom rug with some yarn and items you probably already have in your home. Customize the color of the yarn so that it perfectly matches your bedroom or any room in your house that needs a touch of coziness.
What You’ll Need:
- Yarn
- Paper towel roll
- Non-slip rug mat
- Scissors
Instructions:
Step 1.) Cut your paper towel roll in half and place the pieces side-by-side.
Step 2.) Wrap some yarn around both halves about 90 times.
Step 3.) Cut the end of your yarn and pull it off the paper towel roll.
Step 4.) Cut a 12-inch piece of yarn and tie it around your coiled yarn and cut the looped ends of the yarn. Fluff up your pom-pom and repeat this process to create enough pom-pom to make a rug of your desired length.
Step 5.) Cut your rug mat to the size you’d like your rug to be.
Step 6.) Pull your pom-pom tails through the holes in the mat and tie a knot at the end of your tail. Repeat this until your mat is covered, then cut the ends of your tails off.
