Imagine waking up every morning to beautiful views of rippling waves and the sound of chirping birds. Pretty dreamy, right? That’s what The Cottage Company thought too when they created this romantic home.
The Seascape craftsman is located just outside of Seattle. Looking at the exterior of the home, the beautiful landscaping is the perfect compliment to the background of the Puget Sound.
The quaint Silverdale, WA cottage was designed and constructed by The Cottage Company; according to their website, their mission “is to pioneer sustainable communities where homes are more than houses and neighborhoods are more than zip codes.”
Enter the Seascape cottage through the gorgeous dutch doors.
Leave the top portion of the door open and smell the fresh, salty air coming off the Dyes Inlet.
Once past the doors, you’ll enter the great room. The seating space and living room flow directly into the dining area.
Notice that the ‘rear’ of the home has minimal windows; this provides maximum privacy for the occupants. All of the views of the home were reserved for the inlet.
The dining room then flows directly into the kitchen with amenities and appliances fit for a gourmet chef.
The kitchen features a large island, tile backsplash, and a dishwasher. Although, with a view like this — taking a few extra moments to handwash dishes doesn’t sound like the worst idea in the world.
The energy efficient kitchen also boasts a gas stove and durable granite countertops.
Downstairs, one of the two master bedrooms opens to a private backyard.
Don’t need a second bedroom? The space could easily be used as a TV room, large office, or den that transforms into a guest space.
Upstairs is the Seascape’s second bedroom. Large windows on each wall provide incredible views of the inlet and Mt. Rainier.
From each window and each angle is another stunning view. Mt. Rainier can be seen on the opposite side of the inlet.
Upstairs, you’ll also find a small bonus room. The same sweeping views can be seen from this room’s windows as well.
The bonus area is little, but it’s a great opportunity for a media room or office.
Of course, a seaside cottage wouldn’t be complete without an outdoor entertaining area.
Barbecues and al fresco dining should be a regular occurrence when you have an outdoor dining space as beautiful as this.
Seawater views, a volcano off in the distance, and a cozy home to enjoy them from? What more could you possibly ask for?
