How to do it? It’s easy!

Get a few bags of colorful gems from your local Dollar Tree. Spread parchment paper on a baking sheet and evenly pour the gems onto it.

Preheat your oven to 350°, then bake the gems for about 20 minutes.

Afterward, transfer the gems directly into an ice water bath. You’ll hear them crackle and break.

Let them sit for 5 minutes, drain the water, and grab a plain picture frame. Glue the crackled gems onto the frame.

Start by arranging your glass pieces where you want them.

As shown in the video, you can use a mixed media girl artist resin and pour it over the stones.

Begin with white paste, spread it with your finger, add white metallic and pearl, and use gold for thinner lines using a stick.

This decor will give your home an aesthetic vibe.

How to do it?

Grab your desired color for your dollar store gems, rubbing alcohol, and a large bowl/container.

Get some sand and fill the bottom of the bowl. Make sure it’s filled up to the top, so when you place your metal bowl, it’s level and has a solid base.

Add more sand to secure the bowl and level it out. Ensure the bowl is stable to avoid spills or movement when you light it.

Next, put the metal bowl in, arrange glass beads around it, pour a bit of rubbing alcohol, and give it a flame – it will light up.

Enjoy hanging out outside even more with this.

How to do it?

Go to the nearest dollar store and buy 3 bags of colored gems.

First, separate the gems and clean them with dishwashing liquid and water. Let them dry and then, draw lines from the edges of the vanity to the mirror line.

Use a small notch trowel to apply a thin coat of mastic. Next, the fun part: press the gems into the mastic and work in small sections to prevent it from drying too fast.

Once you’re done, mix one cup of grout with half a cup of water.

Apply the grout in small sections and make sure to push it between each gem, filling all the spots. After an hour, check again and wipe away excess grout with a large sponge and plain water.

Remove the painter’s tape on top of the vanity and smooth it out with your fingers.

How to do it?

Get some glass gems and paint a board with a bit of whitewash on the back for good color. Use all-purpose glue to lay down the gems.

Center the mirror on the board using the same glue and a popsicle stick. Put a little glue on the back of the mirror and slide it into place.

For the next step, use non-sanded grout, add water, and stir it well. Once mixed, add your chosen paint color and keep applying it between each glass gem.

After that, grab a slightly damp sponge and wipe the top.

Go ahead and try this, give your mirror a glow-up.

How to do it?

Start by getting 35 bags of gems from the dollar store. Since they might be dusty, wash them with mild soap and water. Let the washed gems dry on a towel.

(Backstory: Thinking about a past project, as shown in the video, the crafty woman decided to cover the whole wall with gems.)

Next, draw a line a bit above the backsplash and measure its height from the floor.

Make marks on the wall and connect them to create the line.

Draw seaweed on the wall and use mastic within the seaweed lines and fill them with different-sized green gems. Work on small sections of the wall, moving upward.

When you get to the original backsplash area, add mastic and continue with three different colors of gems. It might be a bit tricky around the toilet but use skinny fingers to manage.

Enjoy the texture created by using different-sized green gems inside the seaweed.

After placing all the gems on the wall, measure and cut a piece of chair rail, then attach it to the wall with a brad nailer.

Fill the gap with mastic and add more gems, mix the grout to a mashed potato consistency, and apply it to the wall with a putty knife.

Work in small sections, adding grout and wiping away excess with a wet sponge.

How to do it?

Grab a couple of bags of colorful dollar store-bought gems.

If they’re dusty, make sure to wash the gems with dishwashing liquid and water. After that, grab any transparent container where your lamp bulb would fit.

Next, get a glue gun, apply a decent amount on each gem, and stick them piece by piece on your container.

Once done, choose your desired bulb (preferably battery-operated), and put it inside the lamp. As shown in the video, you can use a stainless small bucket as its base and put some additional decoration around it.

Keep in mind that these dollar-store gem decoration ideas do not have a blueprint. Let your imagination work and feel free to alter or change whatever you want.
