Now I know why he has over 3 million views. The glass was so clear when he was finished that it didn’t even look like there was a window there at all.

In all of the excitement that comes with getting a new car, one thing everyone fails to mention is what goes into a little something called maintenance.

Sure, it’d be great if the responsibilities of car ownership started and stopped with safe driving, but we all know it’s not that simple.

Key to being a good car owner is keeping it in ship shape, and that includes keeping it clean.

Clean windows are essential.

However, no one will tell you about carwashes, car insurance, and that it’s really difficult to clean your car’s inside windshield.

Good thing other car owners are willing to lend a hand.

This is perfect for those of us who are used to just cleaning the outside of our cars and for those who like to do things by ourselves.

It’s super simple and super effective.

After all, some people are much more comfortable knowing no one else is handling their cars.

In this video, YouTube content creator Chris Notap shows us how to clean the windshield.

It is one of the most difficult to clean because it’s inclined to an awkward angle.

You’d have to position yourself properly inside the vehicle to make sure you can clean every part. There is an easier way, though.

It’s all in the tools.

For this task, it’s good to know that common windshield cleaning materials are the only things involved.

No fancy skill, no expensive equipment – just a tub of soap and some elbow grease then you’re set.

Chris shared his secret weapon for the task.

He showed his viewers a mini squeegee that’s perfect for small-scale cleaning. He provided the links to the store in the video.

If it’s not available, look for a silicone squeegee. It’s the same thing your baking ladles are made of.

Look for those with shorter and firm handles.

It’ll clean windows with no scratches.

Ordinary squeegees can work but those with frames longer than the scraping part can give your car scratches.

Now all you need is dish soap and a bucket.

Chris recommends Dawn since it does a good job of cleaning glass. To prepare your cleaning solution, just squeeze a bit of soap into a tub of water.

Dunk in a cleaning rag and wring it to remove excess water. Cover your dashboard with a bath towel then wipe the interior side of your windshield.

Then, using the squeegee, scrape off the soapy solution from side to side.

Keep you rag handy.

After a stroke, get a dry rag and wipe your squeegee dry. Repeat the process until you clean off the soap from the windshield.

You can use the squeegee as well to wipe off the remaining streaks if there are any.

Chris swears it can be done in 3 minutes.

And that’s how you can clean the inside of your windshield.

“I use it on my golf cart windshield as well and is equally effective. I even started using the wet microfiber towels after I was done wiping down all the mirrors. A bowl of water with a couple of drops of dawn goes a long way!” one comment said.

Chris does provide us with one more helpful tip.

“Small tip, with the little mini silicone squeegee you, can clean the window side car-view mirror too by following Chris’s smart way to clean your windshield,” another user added.

Now that is some serious car cleaning perfection, right there.
