Summer is just around the corner! While it sounds really fun and exciting, one problem comes with the season – flies. Fortunately, there is one easy trick we can all use to keep these pests from invading our home.
In just five minutes, you can make a safe fly preventing bag using tools and ingredients you already have in your kitchen. All you need are the following:
- Plastic or Ziploc sandwich bags
- 2 tsps. salt
- lime juice
- 2 ½ cups water
- A few shiny pennies
To start, put two and a half cups of water into a large bowl. Then, slowly add in the lime juice and salt. Mix well.
Once the solution is made, pour it into the Ziploc sandwich bags until it is almost full.
Before sealing the bag, drop the coins into the mix.
Using a paper clip, hang it in places where flies are rampant.
It might not seem like it works, but this solution has kept my yard fly free for years now!
