Have you ever found yourself in a situation that seems unsolvable? If you answered yes, you’re among good company. Daily, obstacles rear their ugly heads. While some people give up before they even try, others come up with remedies that work.
Okay, so not all the solutions are conventional but they’re effective. Some people can conquer any challenge, as proven with these photos. Now, rather than judge, these people should be applauded for their ingenuity, creativeness, and sheer determination.
While some of these are highly effective, others are downright comical. And then there are those that’ll leave you feeling completely bewildered.
1. The best bumper guard ever
Few things are more frustrating than going to the store only to come back to your car to find that someone dented your bumper because they didn’t know how to park. This person came up with a fantastic solution and it’s stylish.
2. Who knew?
We certainly didn’t, did you? The next time you need two batteries but only have one, here’s a way to fix the problem. This is an amazing hack.
3. That’ll teach them
Cats make great pets. But sometimes, even the best kitties prefer a planter over the litter box. You know those toothpicks you have in the cabinet? Put them to good use…your cat will change his mind.
4. No lock…no problem
Most large cities today have police officers that patrol on bikes in addition to cars. This enhances their patrol power. But when a cop doesn’t have a bike lock handy, handcuffs work just fine…if not better.
5. Simple yet effective
A lot of times, people open a small package of food but don’t use all of it at once. Whether chocolate chips, marshmallows, nuts, and something else, you can keep the item fresh by using the top portion of a plastic bottle and the cap. That’s brilliant.
6. No more overheating
For all computer users, if you place a laptop on a flat surface, it’ll quickly overheat. Rather than buy an expensive fan, all you need are two forks.
7. In a pinch
If you often misplace the dog leash or perhaps it broke but your pup needs to go outside, here’s a great solution. Simply grab your game controller and cord. It’s that easy.
8. Sneaky but super cool
Who doesn’t love a good back massage? But asking a small child to give you one never works. This dad came up with a solution — he gets a massage and his kid gets to play with his toy cars.
9. A perfect funnel
If you have a tiny sink but need to fill a container with water, try this. It works amazingly well and without water getting all over the floor.
10. No way
Even the best smartphones on the market don’t have a zoom feature good enough to see some things up close. Well, with a pair of binoculars, this guy was able to capture the smallest details during a Yankees versus Mariner’s game.
11. No more boring road trips
Often, backseat passengers use their phones to watch movies or videos while on a road trip. But quickly, that becomes uncomfortable. An easy fix… hang a baseball cap from the grab bar and place the phone inside.
12. Two solutions in one
With a jumbo clip, you can accomplish two goals. First, this will keep your tube of toothpaste upright and within easy reach. Second, it’ll push the toothpaste to the top of the tube.
13. I can see just fine
If you’re running late for class and the lecture hall has something like this, take advantage of it. You’ll end up with the best seat.
14. Strange but it works
We didn’t say that all these solutions were logical. But when studying for a long test, this guy didn’t have to take a break to get a drink. Instead, he did this.
15. Getting organized
Women everywhere will love this. Instead of bobby pins ending up all over the bottom of a drawer, keep them organized by adding an adhesive magnetic strip to the inside.
16. Eating utensil alternative
When you don’t have a fork handy, you can use any type of straight object to make one. For instance, if you go camping, you could clean off a few small twigs to do this.
17. Another great phone hack
For anyone who’s traveling but doesn’t have a baseball cap, a flip-flop will also do. By positioning it just right, it’ll hold the phone securely in place.
18. Crunchy treats
Microwaves are great for heating and defrosting food. But they don’t produce the crunchy texture that most people love. Instead of heating the entire oven, use the toaster.
19. This is hysterical
This works great for people who wear glasses. If you have a class in school that’s super boring and all you want to do is sleep…your teacher will never know the truth.
20. Eyes in the back of your head
Parents who work from home have a tough time keeping an eye on the kids. A large spoon attached to your computer monitor and you immediately have a second set of eyes.
21. Save money while shopping
While not common in the United States, in many other countries people have to put coins in a slot just to use a grocery cart. As this person shows, people can save money by inserting a house key instead.
22. Fixed the gas cover
If the gas cover falls off a car, just cover it with an old CD. Okay, it’s not pretty but apparently, it worked. Let’s just hope this isn’t the same person who designs bridges.
23. Eating on the go
By inserting the straw in the middle of the sandwich box and then resting it on his drink, this guy could eat while driving. Now, we don’t know about you, but we think it might’ve been safer to just pull over for a few minutes.
24. No more wrinkles
While this method of ironing might seem new, it’s actually something that people did before irons or electricity existed. Using a pan filled with hot water is an exceptional idea.
25. What a hoot
Don’t you hate it when you crave potato chips but the only kind the store has are wavy? And you prefer non-wavy chips? Do what this person did…iron out the wrinkles. Hint: it might be faster to just go to a different store.
26. Closet space-saver
If you enjoy wearing tank tops but have limited drawer and closet space, you’ll appreciate this. Using shower curtain rings, you can hang multiple tops on a single hanger.
27. No more spills
The next time you take food to a potluck or friend’s house, you can do this and avoid a nasty spill in your car. We see a great marketing opportunity here.
28. Homemade spoon
You sit down to enjoy a hot bowl of soup when you realize you don’t have a spoon. No problem. Just stick a fork in a Styrofoam cup.
29. Customized cable holder
Are you tired of your phone cables getting tangled up or never within reach? If your kids have Legos, you can customize a holder. Better yet, have them come up with a cool design. What a fun solution.
30. Choose a color
You might not realize it but those headphones you use when listening to music? They have a left and right side. For the best sound possible, you want to use them correctly. An easy way to distinguish them is by painting one side a different color.
31. A unique kind of toaster
When you want toasted bread but don’t have a toaster, try this. It works incredibly well. But if you don’t have a gas stove, place bread on a cookie sheet and broil it to the darkness you like.
32. Dual purpose
Here’s a great way to keep cables at your desk organized. Along with using a binder clip, the basket can hold pens, post-it notes, and other small items.
33. Repurposing at its finest
Bagel lovers everywhere can rejoice. Whether you want to take a couple of them to work or even a bagel sandwich, you can transport and store them in a CD case that’s no longer used.
34. An innovative conversation
Usually, people use Facetime to talk with family members or friends. But not this guy. He uses it to watch his garlic bread baking in the oven so it doesn’t burn.
35. Self-watering
Are you planning to go on vacation but don’t have anyone to water your indoor plants? This is an amazing hack that’ll solve your problem.
36. 24-Hour gaming
They do exist, you know, people who play video games around the clock. But sitting up that long isn’t easy. So, this brilliant guy came up with a solution…lazy…but brilliant.
37. Skewered corn
Okay, the idea of pulling an entire line of corn off the cob using a skewer is pretty awesome. But considering the amount of time it takes, you might want to stick to the old-fashioned way of eating corn-on-the-cob.
38. Best seat in the house
Concerts are so fun to attend. But if you want a good seat, it’s going to cost you. Instead of forking out big bucks, do what this guy did.
39. Picture hanger to the rescue
It’s so annoying when a trashcan liner falls inside, leaving you with a mess to clean up. Just attach an adhesive picture hanger to the outside and that’ll never happen again.
40. Dealing with a jealous person
Sneaking a piece of cake that’s stored inside of a plastic container like this is impossible. Lifting the lid is so loud that everyone in the neighborhood knows. This individual suggested using one to place a cell phone. That way, a jealous significant other can’t sneak a peek.
41. Don’t let anything go to waste
And in this case, it’s a clock. Sure, some of the numbers are missing but someone came up with a way to add new ones. It still tells perfect time.
42. No one’s left out
Family photos are great. But someone’s always left out because they’re the person snapping the pictures. With this clever trick of using a mirror, everyone’s included.
43. Kid and cat-friendly Christmas tree
Christmas is almost everyone’s favorite holiday. Decorating the tree is a big part of it. But in households with kids and cats, a standard tree usually doesn’t work. Here’s a great solution.
44. Personal spit bag
Watermelon is delicious but those seeds are a real pain. Rather than spitting them on the ground or onto a plate, you can create a personal spit bag just like the one this woman uses.
45. Stop the tumbling
This is fantastic. Instead of having grocery items spilling out of the bags and tumbling inside of your car’s trunk, follow this person’s lead.
46. Free milk
Hey, those tiny containers of creamer at the office are free, right? So, waiting to enjoy your cereal until after you arrive at work and you won’t have to buy any milk.
47. Sit back and enjoy the movie
Especially when taking a long flight, it’s nice to relax while watching a movie. But holding your cell phone for a long period becomes tiresome. This person used a magnetic strip to secure the phone to the headrest of the person in front of them.
48. Speechless
Yes, this is a solution that works. But the very thought of actually using it makes food far less appetizing. Why does this guy look surprised that everyone’s disgusted? We’re just curious.
49. The secret is out
You know the kids you went to school with who graduated but you couldn’t figure out how? Well, now you know. There’s a good chance this is what they used to pass tests.
50. Easy to use riding lawn mower
The great thing about this is that while cutting the grass, you get exercise. Sure, it’ll take some time to get everything mowed but it’s cheaper than hiring a lawn service.
