Designed by Cam, the 20-foot shipping container home is probably one of the best houses you’ll see. Despite its small size, its features and design will blow you away.
The tiny home sits over a stream.
Even though the location is unusual, Cam was able to make it work. That’s thanks to all the years he spent in architectural school.
He planned the shipping container home carefully.
Despite the skills he has, Cam still felt challenged about building his home. There was limited space and he wanted to make sure everything was functional.
Fortunately, he was able to turn his vision into a reality.
Cam’s tiny home is everything you’d wish to have in a container house. It has movable pieces and a very comfortable vibe.
You wouldn’t believe that he build every piece from scratch.
From the bathroom to the kitchen, every part of his home is amazing. Inside his living room, there’s an electric lift that holds a full-size bed. This allows him to easily turn his couch into a sleeping area. All he needs to do is push a button!
The living room has a lot of extra storage. When you’re living in a tiny home, having that much space can already be considered a luxury.
Even Cam’s kitchen has an interesting design.
It features a nice big farmhouse sink and spacious cabinets. Its backsplash is a nice touch, too. The color and style make his home look more cozy but classy.
Cam has a special table he finds quite useful.
He can use it for dining or whenever he needs to work on something on his laptop. It can also work as an extra counter space whenever you need to chop ingredients. And like how he’s thought of every part of his home, it can also be easily folded up so that it doesn’t get in the way.
In the bathroom, you’ll find something out of the ordinary.
It features a large sliding closet that hides the shower. Whenever he needs to wash up, all he needs to do is pull it out. This lets Cam enjoy more floor space inside his tiny home.
Cam has always loved shipping containers.
He shared:
“It’s used for so many different things and the idea of living in one seemed like a pretty interesting idea, and then also having the challenge of designing around it.”
He plans on building more tiny houses.
Cam is already working on two houses on wheels. Both of them are 24 feet. And from there, he’s thinking of building and designing more in the next few months. He’s very happy with his new home. Apart from the fact that it’s very comfortable, it’s also special for him since he’s the one who designed and built it.
