“Buy men’s basic white or black V-neck T-shirts in the three-packs.”
It’s so unfair that different companies mark up the price for women for the same products that men use. Next time you need a basic shirt, just buy the men’s three-pack. It’s going to be cheaper and comfier to wear, too.
“If you try on a fragrance and hate it, wipe rubbing alcohol over your wrists or anywhere you sprayed it to get rid of the smell.”
This is the most popular to remove scents and smells from your body or your things. Because alcohol cleans and disinfects, it dries up the scent and causes the smell to evaporate.
“When I go to places where I’m prone to impulse buying, I initially don’t pick up a cart.”
Even if you get a basket, it’s so easy to get small things that add up to your basket. You can either only buy things you can carry with your two hands. Or you can go around the store first and look at the things you need and want to buy. Then get a cart and go back for those things. If you still want them when you return, add them to the cart. If not, just leave it there.
“Before dying your hair at home, put petroleum jelly on any areas you don’t want to dye.”
Apply it on your ears, the back of your neck, your forehead, and even on the countertop. This will make the dye easier to remove and you won’t need to scrub your skin off.
“If you take medications, take photos of the bottles and save them on your phone.”
You’ve already got a million things on your mind and it’s so hard to remember the exact details that you need. Good thing mobile phones are so smart now. You can take photos of your medicine bottles and take note of the exact dosage you need, the time it was last refilled, and other details you can give to your doctor or pharmacist.
“Know how to change the tire on your car.”
Practice makes perfect. Practice at home in your garage. Practice at a safe place during the day. Make sure that you have all the tools you need to change and tire and then some.
“I keep makeup and a mirror at work.”
Sometimes, women can’t get ready for work at home, especially when they have young children. The next best thing: finish getting ready at work. It’s always best to keep a spare make-up set at work. Just try to get to work a little earlier so you have enough time to get ready before you have to clock in to work.
“Put a tampon, a sanitary napkin, and some non-latex items in your first aid kits.”
These items are great for deep and large wounds. Plus the non-latex items are great for people who have latex allergies. Yes, this is real.
“Hang your sweaters or long-sleeved shirts inside out so the bumps caused by the corners of the hanger don’t stick out when you put the sweater on.”
It’s one more step that needs to be done when putting away your laundry. You’ll thank yourself the next time you wear that sweater or shirt and not have to worry about the bumped-up corners.
“I have a ton of allergies to different medications. I made a ‘business card’… listing my medical history… and keep it in my wallet.”
When you’re having an allergy attack, it can be hard to talk and focus on giving your medical history. Having that card can save your life.
“My friend and I each have what we call ‘mom bags’ in our purses.”
In this ‘mom bag,’ they have headache meds, antacids, bandages, tampons/pads, and other small, useful items. They even have a nail clipper for those times when you break your nail. Even if you don’t have children, your friends will need this one way or another.
“Always keep lip balm in every coat or jacket pocket.”
This is so handy during the winter season when it’s so hard to dig through your bag for your lip balm. Or when you simply forgot your lip balm at home.
“Add a magnetic strip in your bathroom cabinet to support bobby pins and tweezers.”
We’re always looking for that one bobby pin we need or those tweezers. This way, we have one spot for them that we can easily access and still be out of the way.
“Turn around your hangers to clean out your closet.”
Do you want to declutter your closet for real? Try this step. When you’ve used a piece of clothing from your closet, the next time you hang it, turn it around. Do this for everything you wear. At the end of the year, check to see which items are still facing the other way and have not turned around. That means, you haven’t worn them at all. You can either sell or donate them.
“Put your necklace through a straw to keep the chain from tangling.”
It’s always a pain when you’re going out and you find the necklace you want to wear, all tangled up. It’s going to take forever to untangle them. Take the time to do this hack. Next time you need the necklace, you’ll be in and out.
“Use a caddy to store your hair appliances.”
The caddy isn’t just for your shower and toiletries. It’s also for your hair appliances so they’re all in one place that’s easy to find.

Who knew cutlery trays could be used for anything else other than cutlery? This is great because cutlery trays can be cheap and big enough to hold your jewelry.

“Use rice and a sock to make a DIY hot pack.”
When you don’t have a heating pad handy, this is going to be a great alternative! Just make sure your socks don’t have holes or this won’t work. What type of rice to use for this? It doesn’t matter. Just grab the cheapest one you can find. You’re not going to eat it anyway.
“Tie your scarves and stockings to hangers for easy storage.”
It won’t fall off the hangers as well and it won’t get buried under other scarves and stockings. You’ll be able to see all the pieces you have and what you need.
“Use two fingers to test out your bra fit.”
Try it. If you can fit two fingers under the band comfortably, then it’s the right size. If not, it’s too tight. If you can fit your entire fist, then it’s too loose and you need to change your bras.
“Put baking soda in your flats to avoid smelly shoes.”
Get a little cloth pouch. Add baking soda inside and tie it closed with a ribbon. Insert in your shoes to remove the smell your dirty, sweaty feet can leave.
“Glue old wine corks to a picture frame to make your DIY corkboard.”
Don’t throw away your old corks! Let it dry first before you glue it to a frame and start using as a cork board.
“Use clothing hangers to organize your boots.”
You know those hangers for your jeans? You can use them for your boots, too! Plus you get to keep your boots upright.
“Use ice cubes to remove gum from your hair.”
This is something you never want to happen to you. It’s good to know we have an easy solution for it. The ice will harden the gum and will make it easier to remove. You can also use this for the gum that gets stuck under your shoe.
