Holly Williams is a singer-songwriter from Nashville. While trying to get a record deal back in 2005, Holly worked at a local sandwich shop that sat next to a gorgeous 1890’s cottage. Ten years later, it went up for sale, and she knew the historic home had to be hers.
After purchasing the 1892 ‘Sweeney Cottage,’ Holly transformed it into a beautiful rental home through her White’s Mercantile brand.
For those that want to rent Holly’s 1,200-square-foot, vintage home, all they have to do is visit her website to request a reservation. What a perfect place to stay while taking in all of the sights of Nashville.
The original antique doors swing open as you step into the bright living room.
Holly loves neutral colors and wanted the entryway and living room to feel open and uncluttered.
Large windows let in plenty of natural light to showcase the home’s unique and beautifully patterned ceiling.
Holly completely outdid herself with the breathtaking kitchen. Details such as the patterned walls, subway tiles, chandelier, and beautiful countertops take this kitchen over the top.
Gourmet meals aren’t a problem when you have stunning appliances such as these.
The kitchen’s sink is large and is nestled into a wooden block countertop for easy food preparation. A full-size vintage refrigerator sits at the end of the kitchen near the door peeking into a comfortable seating area.
After preparing a delicious meal, enjoy the fruits of your labor and dine with friends and family in the dining room featuring hardwood floors and another elegant chandelier.
The entry to the kitchen is to the left with another peek into the sitting area looking forward. To the right, you’ll notice the door to the bathroom.
Like most historic homes, there is only one bathroom. However, Holly did a wonderful job of renovating it while maintaining its antiquity.
Adorable tilework just adds to the charming details the home has to offer.
Head upstairs to the Sweeney Cottage’s ‘two-bedroom’ loft.
On one side of the loft, there is a large bed on a plush rug along with a small seating area. Sunlight flows in through the large window.
The opposite side of the upstairs loft features another smaller bed with a simple mix of modern and antique decor.
After exploring the streets of Nashville, it’s time to relax around the firepit in the spacious backyard.
