1) Asparagus

Asparagus grows pretty adorably. It grows straight up out of the ground. It looks like tiny little trees.

Pineapples are wild. I would have bet that they grow from a tree. But they don’t. They grow from spikey bush-like plants. The fruit grows out of the top of the central stem.
