It seems like there are more and more DIY projects flooding the Internet these days. With so many options to choose from, it can be pretty difficult to know which ones to spend your precious free time on.
Luckily, it’s my job to find the best DIY projects for you to work on and when I found this project to transform a pair of plain sneakers into spectacular lace speakers, I knew that I had come across something special.

To start, you’ll need the following materials:
- 1 pair of canvas sneakers
- lace material
- material glue
- scissors
- razor blade
- paintbrush
First, cut out out a piece of lace that’s large enough to cover the entire front part of the shoe. Make sure that this piece is bigger than the whole front part of the shoe.
Next, cover the shoe with material glue using a paintbrush.
Place your lace onto the shoe, making sure to use force to remove any creases or air bubbles.
Repeat the same process for the back end on the shoe. Once you’re done, repeat both steps for the other shoe.
Once the lace is dried on each shoe, use a razor blade to carefully trim any extra lace material. Be careful not to accidentally slice through the shoe!
