Looks like a major undertaking, right? Well, for Mandi, this was a project she couldn’t wait to get her hands on. As the author of the Vintage Revivals blog, Mandi isn’t a stranger to makeovers, transformations, and overhauls.

Mandi lovingly named the tiny home “The Nugget,” and in just four months, she transformed the old trailer into an adorable, vintage masterpiece.

The dining nook went from dated and unwelcoming to bright and modern, with a fold-down table and seats that double as the sleeping area.

“I knocked out the cabinets and pantry to make the space feel bigger and airier. Plus, everything’s easier to find,” Mandi says.

“You see everything the second you walk in, so make sure it’s not a giant rainbow-fest,” Mandi says. “Pick a couple of accent colors—I gravitate toward sherbet shades—and stick to neutrals for the rest.”

The tiny unique stovetop makes a statement in The Nugget’s kitchen. The white tiled backsplash lets the wood and colored pots really pop. Keeping the cabinets white allowed Mandi to have a bit more wiggle room when it came to how many colors to incorporate.

Plenty of storage is available in the far corner of the kitchen for food, dishes, other necessities.

Although there isn’t a toilet or shower (you’d have to be stationed at an RV park or somewhere with bathroom access), opposite the kitchen storage is a small mirror and a shelf for toiletries.

The gorgeous wood floor is completely one of a kind and tailored perfectly to fit The Nugget.

“I love this thing more and more every time I see it!” Mandi said about floor design.

“I am THRILLED with how it all turned out. In fact (Court cover your ears) I kind of would love to do another one. Now that I know a little more about the process. It might be a little like child birth,” Mandi says on her blog. “It is so fun and exciting when you find out you are expecting, you spend so much time getting things ready, at the end of the pregnancy you can.not wait to get it over with, birth is freaking painful, but then you have this adorable little baby trailer and you kind of forget about all of the crappy parts.”

Now parked in the beautiful mountain of St. George, Utah — The Nugget is the perfect little “home away from home.”
