The bathroom is more than just a bath room. It’s a sanctuary. It’s a place to relax, rejuvenate, and revitalize. It’s the place where we can be by ourselves, think to ourselves, and sometimes, be ourselves. With that being said, it must always be kept well. The bathroom should be regularly cleaned, stocked with the necessary bathroom essentials, such as toilet paper, febreeze, and a plunger (of course). However, we sometimes may see spiders and even pests in our bathrooms, which can be extremely bothersome. These bugs are tough to deal with, and it would make things much easier to not even deal with them in the first place. With that being said, there are many ways to keep spiders and pests from entering your bathroom. Here are 5 ways to do so!

1) Put citrus-smelling objects in your bathroom.

107

Find items that have a fruity sense of smell, such as strawberry, oranges, lemons, etc. You can rub fruits against certain areas of your bathroom that tend to attract the most amount of spiders and pests.

2) Keep cedar around your bathroom.

108

Lighting a stick of incense will always keep spiders and pests away, since they cannot bear the burning smell. In general, you can put cedar blocks around, especially in areas that tend to attract these bugs.

3) Have white-vinegar items in your bathroom.

109

A clever approach is to fill spray bottle with white vinegar, and spray it throughout the bathroom. Spiders and bugs hate the smell of that type of vinegar, which means you’ll see much less of them as long as that smell is constant.

4) Put peppermint oil throughout your bathroom.

110

Peppermint produces a scent that is unbearable to spiders and pests. Fill a spray bottle with forms of peppermint, such as peppermint oil, and spray it throughout the bathroom.

5) Include tree-nut smells in your bathroom.

111

All types of tree nuts include a smell that spiders and pests do not like. Walnuts, chestnuts, etc. should be placed in certain areas of the bathroom that attract these bugs.
