Renting out a property is one of the most profitable businesses anybody can try.

It does not require as much supervision since income is earned passively. The only risk is when you get to deal with unruly and bad tenants.

Well, a business is not a business without these risks. There can be tenants who live on the property with care and leave the place spotless while there are people who simply don’t know how to take care of a place they are just renting out.

One landlord seemed to have the worst of luck when he came across tenants who rented his property and made it their own, but not in a good way.

Most stories we hear about renting out a home are when you get to meet a gnarly landlord who will do everything to keep you from getting your deposit back.

They will do what it takes to prove to you that they are entitled to the amount you paid in advance and you are not allowed to get it back anymore.

There can also be landlords known for being too relaxed or careless with how they manage their properties.

They leave you alone when it comes to fixing the parts of the house that cannot be used as they should.

But there are notorious tenants out there and this landlord happened to be one of the unlucky fellows to have met them.

In a video uploaded on his TikTok account, landlord Jeff Kowalczuk shared some photos of before his tenants moved in compared to what his place looked like after they moved out.

The images he shared are not as the viewers expected.

If the apartment was pristine and classy before the tenants arrived, the way the place appeared after they left is way different than when they first went inside. In simple words, everything was a mess.

Jeff Kowalczuk shared the way the living room looked.

The “before” picture was simply spotless.

The floor was shining and everything was well-kept and polished. But looking at the photo after the tenants went out, the living room looked dark, unclean, and simply gross.

The tenants changed the wall paint, added things that were not there before, and left the place full of dust and debris.

They totally changed the way the room looked, and it was not aesthetic or even remotely pretty at all.

The sink area was also clean and beautiful when the tenants moved in.

After they left, you won’t be able to see the sink at all because of the number of uncleaned utensils, plates, pots, and pans left by the worst tenants he ever met.

Looking at the sink area will hurt the eyes of anyone who will look at it.

The stressed-out landlord shared some more photos that only turned from bad to worse.

It was a landlord’s nightmare!

His post went viral and people online were sympathetic to what the man was feeling.

Making changes to the property can be acceptable, but it needs to be acknowledged by the owner.

While landlords are responsible for the maintenance of the property, tenants are also accountable for keeping it within the rules of the rent agreement.
