When you live month-to-month in a home, you have an obligation to pay rent and abide by your landlord’s rules. It isn’t a hard concept. You would hope that most people would be able to do that but unfortunately, there are always people out there who make life for their landlord’s a little more difficult.
Back in June 2018, this unlucky landlord named Thomas Ravaux came back to a mess of a home in Rozoy-ser Serre, France, all thanks to his awful tenants who were living there. They made a complete mess and on top of that, they refused to pay rent.
Thomas did what any good landlord would do and immediately took photos of how the place was left. Spoiler alert: It was in pretty terrible shape.
In one room there was just piles of trash and cardboard stacked up on top of each other, almost reaching all the way up to the ceiling. In another photo, there is even more trash — so much, that you can’t even see the floor. You would not be able to walk around if you were in this home.
Another photo showed an equally dirty bathroom, a filthy couch, and one room even had a substance that looked like either dog food or rabbit poop on the floor…
Thomas shared these photos on Facebook to raise awareness.
“This is how I get home after 14 months of outstanding. Thank you to the tenants of the apartment. Living with 3 kids like this hats off!!!” Thomas wrote via Facebook.
“Not to mention the food lost in the fridge offered by the restaurants of the heart! Shame on you! Courage to your new owner who rent you a house in brunehamel!” He added.
It seems like these people were the least trustworthy tenants on the entire planet.
Initially, Thomas thought this family was perfectly suitable for the place… Only to find out they were his worst nightmare.
Over the course of the 14 months, the tenants never paid rent. Thomas continuously tried to contact them for over a year and never heard anything back.
His home was covered in garbage. He was disturbed.
Finally, after over a year of chasing them down, he finally decided to head back to see what was going on. He knocked on their door several times and no answer. When he finally opened the door to see what was behind it, he was absolutely disturbed.
In addition to all of the piled-up trash, there were also holes punched in the wall and rotting food. It seems like you would have to put in a serious effort to make a place this disgusting.
So Thomas decided to teach them a lesson.
To get revenge, Thomas called his lawyer and got approval to pack up all of the tenants’ stuff and give it back to them.
He contacted a dump trump company who would then take everything off his hands — all of the trash they left behind.
Luckily for Thomas, he was able to find out where the tenants were renting a new home. So he brought the dump truck over to their front door and dumped all of the trash right then and there. What a great surprise!
All of their trash was left out on the street. It was a totally savage move on Thomas’ part and totally deserved!
