Bake Bacon
Frying bacon in a pan can cause a mess. Instead, bake your bacon in the oven on a baking sheet and foil. Not only does this method save time, it also makes cleanup a breeze.
Remove Corn From the Cob
Use a Bundt pan to remove the corn from the cob. Stick the end of the ear of corn into the hole at the center of the pan. Then simply cut the corn from the ear. The corn will fall into the Bundt pan, requiring no cleanup and making it easier to cook.
Save Ice Cream
If you have ice cream left in the container after getting some desert, you can cut the sides of the container down to the level of the ice cream. Then, just place a lid on the container and place it back in the freezer. Removing most of the air from the container helps prevent freezer burn.
Vacuum Seal a Storage Bag
Use a straw to vacuum seal food in a Ziploc bag before placing it in the freezer. Place the straw in an opening of the Ziploc and suck the air out. Then just close the Ziploc bag once all of the air is removed.
Keep Cake Flat
Cut a section of a cloth towel, roll it up, and place it in ice water. Take the rolled-up towel and place it around the outer edge of a cake pan. Place the cake batter in the pan and bake it in the oven. The lower temperature of the pan edge allows the cake to cook more evenly, creating a flatter cake.
Squeeze More Juice
To get more juice out of your lemon and limes, cook them in a microwave for 10 to 30 seconds before squeezing. The microwave makes the fruit softer and more malleable, allowing you to get more juice out of them.
Warm Leftovers
To keep leftovers from drying out when reheating them in the microwave, place a cup of water in the microwave along with the leftovers. The food should absorb the moisture from the water, keeping it from drying out when reheating.
Prep Ingredients Beforehand
Before cooking, prepare your ingredients beforehand. Then, when it comes time to cook, all you have to do is mix your already-prepared ingredients, making cooking easier. You should also try to time individual dishes so that all of your food gets done about the same time.
Use Salt When Chopping Herbs
When chopping herbs, place a little salt on the cutting board to keep the herbs from flying around. Also, make sure to limit how many times you cut your herbs. Any more than once or twice and the herbs could lose some of their flavor.

Placing Saran Wrap in the refrigerator makes it less clingy when you need to use it. Plus, rubbing water around the edge of a bowl with your finger allows the plastic wrap to create a better seal when storing leftovers.
Make Cooking Spray
Mix a cup of water with a few tablespoons of vegetable oil in a small spray bottle to create a cheap cooking spray. Then just spray it on a pan when cooking to easily create a non-stick cooking surface.
Fix Burnt Cookies
To fix burnt cookies, use a small handheld kitchen grater to remove any burnt edges. You can also use the grater to carefully remove any burnt bottoms as well.
Remove Egg Shells
Easily remove eggs broken eggs shells from a dish by wetting your fingers before doing so. The moisture allows the shells to stick to your fingers, making them easier to remove.
