With the increasing trend of tiny houses, designers are being forced to add many creative features just to stand out from their competitors. We have reached the stage where tiny homes no longer look like homes, but rather uninhibited constructions of undefinable shapes.

Except, for this home by Minim Micro Homes.

Named the ‘Minim House’, this home is the perfect combination between traditional and contemporary, maintaining a standard, reliable shell design, but featuring all of the innovative features we have come to expect in homes of the 21st century.

Measuring just 210 square feet, Minim House was originally designed by Brian Levey, with the assistance of Foundry Architects for design advice. David Bamford of Element Design+Build was brought in to construct it. Good news for buyers, the team will either assist in creating a house for you, sell you the design plans at a low cost.

On walking inside, you will notice that the house includes four distinct areas: kitchen, music studio (or home office if you prefer), living area and bathroom. Windows fill each of these areas, forming more than enough light to make the space feel even larger!!

The kitchen includes all of the features of a traditional home, but in a modified way. The stove cover not only hides the cooking plates, but also provides additional preparation space.

The living area includes a table that can be moved for different tasks. It can be used as a computer desk, a dining table, a coffee table and a small bar! In fact, because this transformation is very space-conscious, you may find yourself with enough room for a full-length TV screen. Not many tiny houses can boast that feature!!

Where is the bedroom you ask? Well, with enough space in the living room, the design team have included a roll away bed in the platform to the music studio. So, each night you can transform you living space into a quiet, resting sanctuary. Just don’t fall asleep with the TV on…again.

Oh, and I mustn’t forget. For all you musicians out there, your studio is situated in the corner behind the living area. A perfect space just for you and your instruments!
