As one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball, it comes to no surprise that Cole Hamels has gained in popularity.
But his baseball skills are not the only reason he has become so popular; the baseball player also has a very kind heart.
He has always been generous by nature, but recently, he took it a step further.
Cole and his wife decided to donate their Missouri home to a nonprofit called Camp Barnabas. This camp operates summer camps (among other programs) to help people that have chronic illnesses, as well as people with special needs.
“Seeing the faces, hearing the laughter, reading the stories of the kids they serve; there is truly nothing like it,” Cole said. “Barnabas makes dreams come true, and we felt called to help them in a big way.”
Apparently, the home was listed at almost $9.5 million on the popular Realtor website.
According to a news release, this donation is the largest gift that Camp Barnabas has received in its entire history.
Cole has been known for playing for the Philadelphia Phillies. He earned World Series MVP honors and is a four-time All-Star.
But what does this $9.5 million house look like?
The stunning property, which was built in 2012, includes some things that the children of Camp Barnabas will surely enjoy.
To start off, the house is an ample 31,143 square feet, and the entire property is spread out over an area that covers 104 acres.
The mansion is located in the Ozark Mountains in Branson West, Missouri, and looks gigantic when seen from a map. There is a main driveway that connects the various buildings that are located on the property. It is assumed that these buildings will house the future campers of Camp Barnabas.
The house, which has four different living areas that are separated from each other, offers 10 bedrooms and 13 full bathrooms. As listed on the Trulia website:
“This well-designed French provincial home is situated on 104.7 acres with over 1,700 feet of shoreline access and a private dock.”
Inside, this home also boasts six half baths.
The listing also said:
“The entire home has been constructed to commercial building code standards, including fire sprinklers as not to limit the use of the property.”

The children of Camp Barnabas will surely not be disappointed!
Furthermore, the house has a waterfront.
The waterfront is located on Little North Indian Creek and can be used by the residents to go swimming in the summer or take a boat. There is plenty of space to do just that: more than 1,700 feet of shoreline.
Their new residence will surely not disappoint the campers of Camp Barnabas.
