Moms will do anything for their kids, including making sure that they have the space to let their imaginations run wild. Watch how this crafty mother transforms simple cardboard boxes into an elaborate play kitchen for her daughter!
Mother and entrepreneur Rodessa Villanueva-Reyes shared this amazing spectacle of design and ingenuity on Facebook, where it went viral with over a million likes!
Toy furniture is often expensive and poorly made… but Rodessa managed to create the perfect place for her one year old daughter Audrey to pretend-cook in.
First, Rodessa and her husband gathered used boxes from family friends. It’s 100% recycled and eco-friendly! She then cut flaps for the doors of the cabinets and for the oven.
With just a little bit of vinyl sticker and white cartolina, they’re barely recognizable as boxes! It’s a cute and stylish mix of two complementary warm colors.
She added Audrey’s toys to make it really look like a miniature kitchen. It’s fully furnished with plastic food, pots, pans, spoons, a phone, and even a toy laptop.
She made the sink out of a small (6 by 2 inch) baking pan. The faucet is reused from an empty hand-soap bottle.
And she printed out signs to make it look professional. Audrey’s Cafe & Restaurant is open for business.
Look at Audrey play! She fits right in with the color scheme of this wonderfully crafted kitchen. Who says you need to spend a lot of money to create a play home for your kids? All you need is a little time, patience, imagination to create something wonderful for your little loved ones.
