Jonas Marti starts off in a train but soon enough, the man begins his ascent via a stunning route that takes him up dirt paths and rocky rivers that opens up to the beauty of the Swiss mountains.

Forget about wasting time online out there. It is a long hike and not one for the faint of heart. But for those who crave the great outdoors, this is one journey you have to take.
Marti makes his way up the side of a mountain, finally seeing the secluded cabin. One wrong step could mean the difference between a vacation or decomposition. It’s that dangerous.
The small cabin is made of wood. A kitchen and a double deck bed greets Marti as soon as he opens the door. There are shelves along the wall built next to square windows that provide natural lighting.
And yes, the view from the window is spectacular.
Stand on one of the peaks and enjoy the sunset, take in the fresh mountain air, and just unwind in the solitude provided by nature. It’s a perpetual retreat in itself.

Marti certainly made the most of his ascent. He finds a small body of water for a dip, then cooks his own meal with a stove found inside the cabin. His evenings are illuminated by candlelight too.
The climb continues the next day.
Marti goes as far and as high as his legs can take him, and his efforts are rewarded by perhaps what is one of the most amazing views on the planet. And he did it by himself.
He’s got the strength to maintain his balance along that rocky ledge. Marti surely stays fit and eats well. This is not a climb most normal adults could take on even if they wanted to.
