With summertime here, the kids are more active than ever. That’s why knowing how to deal with a blister can be useful now more than ever! To make it easier for you, I put together a list of natural remedies that will let you use ingredients from around the house.

This might be out of the ordinary, but using deodorant on your feet can help you to prevent blisters in the first place. This is because it also contains antiperspirant, which prevents moisture from building. It also helps your shoes or sandals to fit more comfortably as well, which means there is less friction to deal with– which is another cause of blisters.

Soak in green tea

You might be used to epsom salt soaks for your feet, but a green tea soak can actually be a great way to heal blisters! This is because of its anti-inflammatory properties. All you have to do is grab three bags of tea and brew them in boiling water. Then throw in a teaspoon of baking soda and allow the mixture to cool down. Grab some gauze and soak it in the brewed tea, then apply to your blister.

If you have a blister that’s already popped, be sure to apply some apple cider vinegar. It has antibacterial properties that can help to prevent an infection from breaking out where the blister was popped.

Aloe vera is well known for its versatility in health-related uses. So unsprisingly, it turns out to be great for blisters as well! The anti-inflammatory properties of aloe vera can especially help to reduce redness and swelling on the affected area.

In order to reduce the moisture that builds up where your blisters are occurring, sprinkle some powder on the soles of your feet. It will help to allow you to walk around comfortably and without having to worry about making your blister much worse.

Or use some cotton

If you expect to have to walk around a lot while having blisters on your feet, it helps to double up on comfort. Just use some cotton from cotton balls, which can be a useful way for offering some extra padding in your affected areas.
