Are you one of those people that just doesn’t get makeup? Do you try to play around with it but end up looking like a crazy person? Well, don’t fret!
Here are our favorite easy to do makeup tips that will make you look like you have your own professional makeup artist.
The Perfect Cheek
It’s always best to use two shades of blush along with bronzer. Use pink or a red colored blush on the apple of your cheek. This gives a natural youthful appearance of blood coming to the surface of your face. Peach, coral, and colors in the orange family go on the highest point of your cheekbone and looks like the heat is rising in your face.
Use a matte bronzer where the sun would hit your face, like your forehead, cheekbone, the bridge of your nose, and chin.
Full Lips
First, exfoliate your lips. You can do this by putting on some lip balm and scrubbing it off with a piece of toilet paper. Next, add a layer of lip balm and a light layer of translucent powder. Apply your lip liner which should be a few shades darker than your lipstick color.
Draw six lines in a starburst pattern from the center of your lips with your liner to create dimension. Then apply a darker lipstick to the corners of your lips and a lighter color to the middle. Use a clear or nude gloss to blend slightly.
Brush and Declump Lashes
Run a toothbrush through your lashes from root to tip. This will separate and fan out your lashes and well as get rid of any mascara clumps.
Cat Eye or Winged Eyeliner
Draw a thin line from the outer corner of your eye toward your brow and stop about halfway. Draw another thin line from the middle of your eye and connect it to your first line in a wing shape.
Fill in your arrow and smooth it out or thicken the line directly above your eyelid.
Luminous Skin
Make your skin glow by mixing some golden or pearly white eyeshadow into your foundation to make your skin look luminous.
Bright Eyes
Give yourself a natural looking bright-eyed glow with some highlighter. Apply to the inner corners of your eyes, a little bit on the lower lid and to your brow bone.
Contouring
First, apply your foundation. Then add a lighter color concealer to accent your facial features. Remember to blend, then add some blush or an even darker concealer to define your cheekbones.
Nose Contour
You DO NOT need plastic surgery. You can make your nose look slimmer by applying a darker concealer to the sides and under the tip of your nose. Then blend outward.
Get More or Less Coverage
Mix your foundation with moisturizer for lighter coverage. If you need more coverage, add some loose powder for a thicker foundation and mix well. Just don’t add too much or it will cake.
Defined Eyebrows
After brushing, trimming and tweezing your eyebrows, line the bottom of your eyebrow first and then draw a line at the top of your eyebrow. Next, fill in your eyebrow with short thin lines and blend gently if needed with a cotton swab.
