“I’m blessed. It’s not the Taj Mahal, but I am blessed I’m here,” he expresses with heartfelt gratitude.

“You couldn’t ask for a better place. This is my first year, but I enjoy every minute of it,” Terry says, highlighting the comfort and security he’s found in his new home.
Kristina Singleton, the executive director, emphasizes the importance of keeping residents connected to their familiar community.
The IRC offers transportation and access to essential resources like laundry, ensuring that the residents don’t feel isolated from the support systems they rely on.
As the sun sets, Terry’s routine includes tidying up his space, storing his belongings in a tote under his bed, and preparing for a restful night.
His evenings conclude with a prayer of thanks, a moment that captures the profound appreciation he has for his new life in the pallet home.
