Their 18-wheeler home has two stories, a library, and even a 'movie theater.' I'd love to retire like this! 😍

If you see this monster truck home somewhere, our best bet is its Clayton and Teresa Balabanov.

The couple wanted to hit the road and go places as soon as they retired, but finding the perfect mobile home was challenging.

That would mean a mobile home that would fit EVERYTHING they need to bring with them, including a jetski and a big motorcycle.

The available ones from manufacturers just didn’t fit the bill. So, they decided to build their own.

Welcome to the “Nomad Monster.”

They bought a used semi-truck and converted it into a sustainable, comfortable home they could imagine living in for the rest of their lives.

It took them five years and $180,000 to complete their home on wheels, and the two were happy with their work.

The entire mobile home is 74×8.5×13.5 feet (which can be extended to 14.5 feet).

No wonder the couple loved their mobile home; it fits everything they needed with all that space.

The first year was spent more on rebuilding the truck and buying the main structure, and then the next four years were spent refining the details of their home.

At the back of the trailer is their garage with a hydraulic door system.

This contains Clayton’s tools and big-boy toys! It also has a built-in pulley system to help bring the jet ski in place, and there’s enough room left for this motorcycle.

Clayton and Teresa wanted a full kitchen because they love preparing elaborate meals.

“[It’s] bigger than you’d find in most apartments because we want to spend the rest of our life in here, and we want to be comfortable. At 75, I’m not going to cram myself into a little, tiny kitchen trying to make beans on toast,” Clayton told Insider.

They also have a mini-theater using a recliner and a 75-inch 4K television.

Although this is more of Clayton’s “work” table (he used to be a programmer), the system is wired to their internet connection so they can easily access streaming websites.

Add a great sound system to it, and it’s just like being in the movies.

A winding staircase leads to their bathroom, bedroom, and much more.

You don’t often see it in a tiny house, let alone a mobile one, but they have a hot tub installed.

It’s one of the many “little luxuries” they enjoy in retirement.

They also have a separate toilet for “emergencies” if someone’s in the bathroom.

The one luxury Teresa requested in this house was a library.

Most of their home was Clayton’s idea, so Teresa asked her dear husband if he could give her some space for her reading nook.

It was a cozy area by the stairs with a bookshelf and a single recliner seat.

Teresa loved this place and has read dozens of books since they moved in.

There are still so many things to explore in their mobile house.

Clayton worked hard on this build to give him and Teresa a perfect place to retire.

The two enjoyed being on the road, meeting new people, and having a home that allowed them to enjoy their retirement.
