No one like’s cleaning the bathroom because cleaning the bathroom is gross. Gross things happen in the bathroom, but if you don’t clean up that grossness it can lead to stinky smells that linger on top of that grossness.

So, we’ve put some tips together that will help you conquer stink while spending less time in the bathroom. These are especially useful for those of you out there who have boys that miss the toilet bowl.

Here are 10 ways to keep your bathroom smelling fresh and stank-free.

1) Essential Oil Your Rolls

Place a few drops of essential oil inside of the toilet paper roll. It will make the bathroom smell nice whenever someone uses it.

2) The Wall Behind the Toliet

This is a spot that most of us forget to clean or just pretend it doesn’t exist so we don’t have to clean it. Give the wall and floor behind your toilet a good scrub people, it’s a trap for urine stink and musty odors. Just douse with some vinegar and go over it with a scrubbing mop.

These both cleanse and deodorize your toilet, which is the stinkiness part of your bathroom.

4) Remove Your Toilet Seat

Even if you’re pretty good about scrubbing on top of and under the toilet seat, there are areas you just can’t get to that can trap odor and grime. You’ll want to remove it once in a while and give it a good cleaning before putting it back.

6) DIY Odor-eating Discs

Instead of buying ones that are filled with chemicals from the store you can create homemade odor absorbing discsfrom natural ingredients. Mix 1/2 cup of baking soda with spring water and essential oil together until it forms a paste. Pour the mixture into mini cupcake tins or molds of similar size and let dry for 24 hours. Place one in the bottom of your bathroom trash can and or in a small dish on your bathroom counter or behind the toilet. Place the leftover ones in the freezer.

6) Vinegar in the Tank

Pour one cup of vinegar in your toilet tank and flush it through a few times to deodorize the toilet. Make sure the vinegar doesn’t sit in there too long.

7) Soak Your Toilet Brush

Your toilet brush is what cleans all that stink so you’ll want to pour some lemon Pine-Sol into your toilet brush holder to keep it clean and stink-free.

9) Toilet Stains

If you’ve got some stubborn stains in your bathroom, you’ll need to bring out the big guns. Make a thick paste from baking soda and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Rub a generous layer of paste over your stains and let the mixture sit for 15 minutes. Then pour some vinegar over the area and scrub with an old toothbrush. Wipe down everything else with a rag or paper towel.
