Grout is a porous material applied to fill the gaps between the tiles. It can be a pain to clean, but experts still advise that it’s best to use it on tile flooring. Whether you like it or not, grout is vital for long-lasting tile flooring.

But since grout is porous, it is also the reason why dirt and other filth stick to it so much.

All the dirt and grime accumulated through time has seeped into that grout in your tiles. What was once pristine white is now a thick, black line across the tiles, which ruins the entire beauty of your floor tiles.

Andrea Jean is known for her home, productivity, and other personal hacks useful for those who love to keep their home or room tidy and clean.

In her YouTube channel Andrea Jean Cleaning, she tried to compare all the grout cleaning solutions and hacks on the internet.

She compared Oxi-clean, baking soda with hydrogen peroxide, and a toilet bowl cleaner.

These three are the most famous hacks you will see on the internet, and if you’re looking for the best way to clean your grout, her YouTube video has all the answers.

You will know which worked best at the end of the video.

At this point, can you guess which one cleans grout the best? Let’s find out. Andrea chose three tiles to apply and compare these three methods.

First, she used the toilet bowl cleaner. Some people might think this is a crazy idea!

One thing that makes this easy is that most toilet bowl cleaners have a nozzle that makes the application easy.

Andrea used the Clorox brand for this video and simply squeezed some of the cleaners out along the grout lines.

The second option is to mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.

This is one of the most common suggestions online because it’s cost-efficient. You just have to mix both until it turns into a paste, and you can combine as much as possible depending on your need.

But could it clean the dirty grout on your floor? Let’s find out later.

Lastly, she used Oxi-clean and mixed it with hot water.

Like the previous option, you can estimate how much of this mixture you need to clean your entire floor tiles. She applied all these to the grout and let it sit for fifteen minutes.

One detail you should note here is that Andrea only wiped them off using a rag dipped in water, and there might be changes in the outcome if you brush them.

Time for the big reveal! And the option that worked like magic is… *drumroll* the TOILET CLEANER!

It cleaned most of the dirt out of the grout, and you can even see them at the sides as Andrea wiped them with the cloth. The others only left a lump of paste to clean up with and almost had no difference on the grout.
