Succulent Manicures Are A Hot Trend

Over the last couple years, succulent plants have gained increasing popularity. Known for being extremely low maintenance, succulents can grow practically anywhere, and now, they can even grow on your fingertips!

Giving the phrase, ‘having a green thumb’ a whole new meaning, Australian artist Roz Borg has developed a remarkable manicure technique in which these tiny, colorful plants can live and actually grow on your nails.

Sometimes referred to as “Succy Nails,” Borg utilizes a glue specifically formulated for plants, known as Oasis Floral Adhesive. Once the glue’s adhesive bond wears off, the succulent can be planted normally and will thrive and grow naturally.

What’s great about these plants is that they come in a variety of colors, including diverse tones of green, purple, blue, pink, red, yellow, and even orange.

While this may not be a trend you’ll jump on tomorrow, it’s an interesting combination of nature used in fashion and beauty.

What’s also noteworthy is that the succulent serves a dual function, in that, after its use on your nail, it can still be enjoyed as a plant, which extends beyond the function of any nail polish used today.

Please SHARE this unique and unconventional beauty trend with your friends and family.
